We had an amazing time sponsoring the Evansville Senior Center BBQ🍔🌭, alongside our wonderful community partners, including Edgewood, who brought fresh watermelon🍉 and the Wyoming Food Bank, who brought fresh goods for the community to enjoy! 🍊
Did you miss us? No worries!!! Shepherd of the Valley will be sponsoring the Mills Senior Center BBQ on Friday September 12th from 11am-1:30pm!

Kool-aid Day fun at Shepherd of the Valley!🥤 Yesterday was Kool-Aid day and it was the perfect treat for a hot summer afternoon!😎 Some of our great staff members made it an extra fun day by wearing Kool-Aid shirts! Our residents and staff enjoyed a nice, refreshing glass of classic Kool-Aid, bringing back sweet memories and creating new ones together. ❤️

🌟 Welcome Whitney Barrett, BSN – Our New Director of Nursing! 🌟

We are thrilled to welcome Whitney Barrett, BSN, back to Shepherd of the Valley as our Director of Nursing! 🩺

Born and raised right here in Casper, Wyoming, Whitney is a proud local with deep roots in our community. Her nursing journey began right at Shepherd of the Valley, where she worked as a CNA while completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Wyoming.

After earning her degree, Whitney became a nurse on our Rapid Recovery Unit, where her leadership skills quickly shone through. She was promoted to Unit Manager, and later served as Interim Director of Nursing before moving out of state in 2018.

Over the next several years, Whitney brought her expertise to Montana and Washington, serving as a Director of Nursing and eventually as a Regional Nurse, overseeing four skilled nursing facilities across Eastern Washington.

But home was calling. Drawn back by family and her Wyoming roots, Whitney returned to Casper and spent a year exploring hospital nursing. It didn’t take long for her to realize that skilled nursing is where her heart truly lies—which makes us even more excited that she has rejoined our team at Shepherd of the Valley. ❤️‍🔥

Whitney is the proud mom of three daughters—11-year-old twins and a 9-year-old—who keep her on her toes! In her free time, she enjoys anything outdoors and is happiest being back home in the community she loves. 🏔️

Please join us in giving Whitney a warm welcome back! 💙

🤠 Rodeo Nights = Big Smiles & Great Memories! 🐎🌟

The last two nights have been an absolute blast as our residents enjoyed all the action, laughter, and excitement at the rodeo! From cheering on the bull riders to savoring tasty treats and soaking in the lively atmosphere, it’s safe to say fun was had by all!
