It's been 60 years since the invention of the three-point seat belt, and this restraint has saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

Since then, the industry has added advanced safety devices to vehicles. However, alone, many of these advancements may not save a life unless a seat belt restrains the driver and passengers. Airbags, for example, work most effectively when paired with proper seat belt use. On its own, the force with which an airbag deploys can be fatal without the restraining hold of a seat belt.

The 2025 Wyoming Truck Driving Championships are happening:
📍 Saturday, June 21
📍 WYDOT Facilities – 5300 Bishop Blvd, Cheyenne
📍 Competition begins at 6:45 a.m.

This event is free and open to the public – and it’s a sight to see! Drivers from across the state will put their knowledge, safety skills, and driving precision to the test in written exams, vehicle inspections, and a challenging driving course.

✅ Pre-trip inspections that catch the smallest safety details
✅ Serious competition from the state’s top drivers
✅ A family-friendly atmosphere celebrating safety, skill, and pride in the trucking industry
