A few of the many WBI team members and their family members who participated in the annual Su***de Prevention Breaking the Silence Walk on Saturday were available for a photo before starting their trek on the Platte River Parkway. The event was hosted by the Natrona County Su***de Prevention Task Force and co-sponsored by WBI to unite survivors, families, advocates and community members in remembrance, healing and hope.

Participants walked in honor of those lost to su***de and to show support for those struggling. Local mental health organizations were on hand to raise awareness of the resources available to help prevent future tragedies.

“Every 11 minutes, someone dies by su***de in the United States. In Natrona County, we lose a life roughly every 12 days,” said Lance Neiberger of the Task Force. “This event reminds us that none of us are alone in this fight. Together, we can break the silence, reduce stigma, and save lives.” ***dePrevention

PHP vs. IOP — What’s the Difference?

Understanding the levels of care in mental health treatment is key to finding the right support. Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers structured, daytime treatment for individuals requiring intensive support, while our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a more flexible, part-time approach to therapy. Each program is designed to meet different needs on the path to recovery.

Whether you're exploring options for yourself or a loved one, we’re here to help. Learn more by visiting us at http://spklr.io/6184ByaRr.

September is Pain Awareness and National Recovery Month. Recognizing both allows us to reflect on the needs of the millions of people with chronic pain and the fact that the opioid crisis continues to evolve in dangerous ways. There are more new cases of chronic pain in the United States per year than new cases of hypertension, depression or diabetes. Finding alternative treatments for pain and support for recovery from substance use and abuse is possible. For information, visit http://spklr.io/6182BymW8.
