"What if spiritual growth isn’t about feeling more peaceful, but about becoming more honest?

Pema reminds us: the path isn’t somewhere else. It’s here, now, in the immediacy of our experience.

As we grow in the ability to stay with each moment, joyful or messy, we begin to trust ourselves. And that trust opens the door to a steady, quiet confidence rooted in who we really are.

We look at the world
through our likes and dislikes,
hopes and fears,
opinions and judgments.

We want everyone to behave
as we think they should;
otherwise we get agitated.

But we are here to accept
the world as it is,
even as we work
to make it better.

Micro Habit: Stand Up and Stretch Every Hour for 5 Minutes
Why it works:

Moving your muscles helps them pull glucose out of the bloodstream, without needing extra insulin.
It boosts oxygen delivery to your mitochondria so they can make energy more efficiently.
It keeps lactate from lingering and making you feel sluggish.

If your goal is to live a longer, more vibrant life, focus on what you can influence every day: how you move, what you eat, how you manage stress, and the quality of your relationships and sleep.

Practical ways to embody self-respect:

Shift the focus from weight loss to energy, mood, and strength.

Choose movement you enjoy. Walking, dancing, resistance training…all count.

Embrace a nutrient-dense diet that makes you feel good after meals instead of focusing on deprivation.

Track progress with health metrics, not just the scale. Celebrate a lower blood pressure reading or the ability to carry heavier grocery bags.

Because real health isn’t about fitting into a category. It’s about building a body that allows you to show up fully in the life you want—today and decades from now.

“Aligning your energy to your circadian rhythm is crucial for achieving balance and optimizing both body and mind performance. By syncing your activities with natural daylight, you can align your body’s internal clock, improving daytime alertness and restful sleep at night. For example, exposure to natural sunlight in the morning boosts serotonin levels, which helps regulate mood and energy. This natural rhythm supports mental clarity, focus, and overall well-being, ultimately enhancing productivity and creativity”. From Linkedin

Three dietary/lifestyle tips to reduce the life long exposure to toxins in our bodies. by Dr Joseph Pizzorno, ND

1. Sweat regularly. Does not matter how (except I don’t recommend steam baths), just that you perspire intensely several times a week. Sweat is high in metal and chemical toxins.

2. Increase dietary fiber. This is key to helping the liver get the toxins out of the body. We consume only 20% of the fiber we evolved on as a species.

3. Take 500 mg of NAC a day. This increases glutathione production which is very important for both protecting us from the oxidative effects of toxins and helping the liver get them out of the body.
