April is here and it’s Autism Acceptance Month and today is World Autism Day! ♾️💙

Have you heard about the ANT? 🐜

The Autism Nature Trail (The ANT) at Letchworth State Park is a first-of-its-kind experience in nature designed for visitors on the autism spectrum and with a range of abilities. It is a trail that is enjoyable for all abilities and ages.

Pictures is the Sensory Station on the ANT. The Sensory Station has two “gazebos” with a variety of items commonly found in the forest (nuts, pinecones, bark, rocks with fossils, seed pods, and more) that can be touched and smelled, counted and sorted, classified and categorized. There are two carved benches here to sit and take in nature.

It takes an incredible team of individuals to maintain the trail and organize programming and you can help with your purchase of ANT Gear. With every purchase you make, a portion of the sale goes directly to the ANT! It’s a win-win! You get great items to show off your love and support for the ANT and contribute to its ongoing success!

Happy ANTiversary! The ANT is 4 years old! 🎉🐜 🎉

Will you be heading to Letchworth State Park this weekend to check out the fall foliage? 🍁 If you are, you’ve got to make a point to visit The ANT! It’s located right next to the Humphrey Nature Center in the park. Stop and play at all 8 stations and take in the wonder of nature! It’s a trail for everyone and all abilities!

When you’re done, stop at the Glen Iris Inn gift shop by the middle falls and pick up some ANT gear to show your love and support! They have t-shirts, hoodies and stickers! Starting today ANT Gear is now available at the Glen Iris Inn, Letchworth State Park gift shop! We’re starting out with t-shirts, hoodies and stickers available right inside the park!

After you experience the nature trail for everyone, you can head down to the Glen Iris Inn and pick up a shirt, hoodie or sticker to show your love for the ANT, and a portion of every sale goes directly to the ANT to support programming and maintenance.
