Meet Our Doctor: Dr. Jason Ortman

Dr. Jason Ortman originally came to Colorado in 2001 for the skiing—but he stayed for the people. After falling in love with the community, he made Castle Pines his home and purchased the practice in 2007, now known as Black Diamond Eye Care.

Dr. Ortman is passionate about building real relationships with his patients and making sure they feel heard, educated, and confident in their eye care. When he’s not in the office, you’ll often find him enjoying the Colorado outdoors or giving back through community and volunteer work—both locally and around the world.

If you're dealing with dry, irritated, or watery eyes, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) may be the relief you’ve been waiting for.

IPL stands for intense pulsed light treatment. It’s a non-invasive procedure used to help improve dry eye.

This is done by pulses of light that heat the meibomian glands therefore making it easier to express.
