I am before everything else a wife and mother of 3 children. I believe in building communities in which you can learn and contribute back what you have learned. Breastfeeding is not always as easy and natural as “they” say it is. It is however every bit as rewarding as “they” say it will be. I combine education, experience with a caring and supporting approach to helping families learn and experience breastfeeding. I have a passion for making the world a better place. I know that a barrier to seeking out breastfeeding support, education and help is at times financial. I do my best to be sure that regardless of that barrier, you will get help and succeed at meeting your breastfeeding goals. I have a total of almost three and half years of breastfeeding experience between my three children. Learning more and doing more with the birth of each one. The most important thing I have learned is that unless you reach out and ask for help when challenges arise, the little bumps in the road become mountains that often times cause us to give up. I have attended many classes and seminars on breastfeeding education and counseling. I completed a 20 hour course with CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association), a 20 hour course with Women, Infant and Children in the state of Colorado, to become a Lactation Management Specialist and I have been helping women and their families prepare for and successfully breastfeed since 2008. I look forward to meeting you and your family as you share one of the most rewarding parts of parenting with your newborn.
