A common theme this week has been PATIENCE.
Often times we find ourselves in a hurry. In a hurry to do, to fix, and in a hurry to heal.
Brooks is here to remind you to “have patience with all things but first of all yourself”🧡

Fall days at the farm 🍂
So grateful for these fall days that are full of beauty, peace, and healing🧡

Did you know?
Practicing gratitude releases “feel-good” neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, which improves your mood. It also strengthens neural pathways associated with positive emotions and resilience through neuroplasticity, rewiring the brain to focus more on the positive and reducing stress. Over time, this can lead to long-term benefits like improved sleep, enhanced cognitive function, and greater emotional regulation.

Working with horses can be a huge benefit to those embarking on their mental health or personal growth journeys, as observing and working with horses can help people build confidence, communication and social skills, trust, impulse control and boundary awareness.

People overcome various hardships, obstacles and traumas in their lives. Horses can provide a safe and dynamic environment for healing and help us thrive towards positive and productive futures.

You may wonder, why horses for mental health and not other animals?

Horses have been found to act similarly to humans in their social and responsive behavior. It’s easy for people to connect with the horse as they reflect many aspects of ourselves.

Just being near horses or stroking them can reduce stress and anxiety levels and increase a sense of wellbeing. It doesn’t involve humans trying to imitate the way horses interact with one another. It’s a symbiotic and dynamic process that recognizes horses as sensitive, decision-making beings.

Our ability to listen to each other allows us to best show up for others and provide a space for them to be heard.
Horses aren’t simply tools in this work, they are beings with feelings, opinions, and needs. They are the greatest teachers of authentic connection.
Bandit, you are one special horse and I am so grateful for you 🤎
