MHACC is excited to participate in OpenAI's Nonprofit Jam Day — a day of learning, inspiration, and connection around how AI can serve communities.

We're exploring how ChatGPT can support mental health for Chinese Communities. We are incredibly grateful to OpenAI staff member Anaïs Killian for guiding us through the process and offering thoughtful suggestions.

Thank you, OpenAI, for creating space for nonprofits to explore tech for good.

Asian Americans experience some of the highest levels of psychological distress, yet we’re among the least likely to seek help.

Silent War, directed by award-winning filmmaker Changfu Chang, is a powerful feature documentary following three families as they break the silence on mental illness. Through deeply personal stories, the film reveals how stigma, cultural pressure, and racism have shaped an ongoing mental health crisis in our community.

AANHPI communities make up 6.2% of the U.S. population, but account for less than 1% of participants in medical research studies. This gap means that new treatments, technologies, and health discoveries often don’t reflect our communities’ unique needs.

🧬 The CARE Registry is a national initiative working to fix this by increasing AANHPI inclusion in health research.
