You can’t be in flow if you don’t have energy.

And I don’t mean energy in a metaphysical sense. I mean fuel that makes you do things.

There is an unlimited amount of energy available to us but there are blocks and energy drains that interfere with it running smoothly.

We can roughly break up the energy into 4 aspects: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual (if you are spiritual, otherwise it is the energy of values and meaning).

Physical energy comes from sleep, physical exercise and food. It is what makes your body healthy and vital. Common drains here are lack of those things or eating food that doesn’t provide adequate fuel for the body.

Emotional energy comes from emotions and our ability to process them. If we are unable to feel our anger, sadness, grief or fear, we will create blockages in our body that will stop the flow of energy.

Mental energy is our ability to focus. If our mind is scattered and unable to pay attention to one thing at a time, we will have trouble completing things.

Energy of values and meaning/spiritual energy is our why, purpose and alignment with a bigger picture. If we don’t know why we do what we do, we will have trouble with motivation. If it is all meaningless, why do we spend our efforts to accomplish anything?

If we don’t follow our own values, but instead do what society or our family finds valuable, if we don’t know what we want, we will struggle with motivation.

Trauma also creates big blockages in our system and interferes with energy flow.

If you want to learn more about how to have access to your energy and take an inventory of where your blocks are, come to my free masterclass next Friday.

You will walk away understanding what blocks your energy and what to do to return to your full aliveness and vitality on all levels.

The Art of Flow: Free Masterclass Invitation

Do you have big plans and aspirations and yet you procrastinate on taking that next step?
You know what to do and yet, something is in a way...

Meet Mark, my imaginary client who represents an archetype of a person who I normally work with.

Mark is a working professional, he has a good job, good benefits and by societal standards, he is successful. Yet, he doesn't enjoy his work life.

His day feels like a drag. He lost his mojo, his passion, his spak. Or was he connected to it to begin with?

He know he is capable of more and at the same time he doubts himself. Maybe he even has an Imposter Syndrome and that eerie feeling that he is a fraud.

Maybe Mark is also anxious a lot, puts himself last and feel resentful and frustrated.

The variation of that archetype are many, but the main thing...

Mark is not in flow! And we all now that flow is the most productive state in which we get stuff done while also enjoying ourselves.

What helps us to create flow? How do we get into that state on purpose?

I will be teaching a free workshop The Art of Flow and hope you can join me. It is on Friday Nov 15th at 12pm on Zoom.

#1 reason we don't have access to our full power is...our suppressed anger.

You know how you have an impulse to do something like take a dance class, sign, or change careers and then the doubting voice comes that talks you out of it?

That is one way how suppressed anger shows us.

Dismissing one's feelings and desires, self-judgment, shame, guilt, and anxiety are fueled by anger that we didn't get to express.

It is all anger turned inward.

What happens with that anger is that it turns into self-oppression.

The only solution is to do anger work to turn the anger outward...without hurting others.

Our society doesn't have good modeling on this.

Anger is either fully denied, bypassed, avoided (aka suppressed and turned into passive aggression) or demonized for it's destructive power.

In reality, when anger is clear, it helps us with clarity, direction and action.

Our shadow can be described as those aspects of our self that we cannot acknowledge or accept about ourselves.

Through our childhood experience, we had to cut off some parts of ourselves to be loved and accepted and those parts/qualities/states of being are being held repressed in our consciousness.

We often think of shadow selves as "negatives" or dark like anger, hatred, aggression, etc.

However, shadow parts are often powerful, exuberant, and joyful. Those parts of us that couldn't be expressed for example if you grew up with a disempowered depressed parent.

Shadow holds the key to our wholeness and our vitality.

I am excited to announce that I will lead an experiential masterclass Reclaiming Our Shadow on Our Path to Wholeness during Spirit Fest 3.0 put together by my friends and colleagues.

It will be held in Los Altos community center on Sunday October 13th.

Can you make it? I am so excited to be leading this fun experience that will help you go deeper in your self-awareness.

What is unique about working with me?

Coming off a session with a client who gave me the following feedback and I wanted to share it.

First of all, bragging about myself is definitely a stretch so I am writing it with some trepidation...but hey, I am all about coming out of the comfort zone!

So...what are my unique qualities/skills that clients really love?

I will share two here.

1. I practice, live, and work from a place of Acceptance of All Is.

This reflects my spiritual/holistic orientation and is essential to my being.

I have strengthened this attitude in countless hours of meditation, retreats, attending satsangs, etc.

My clients find it healing to be in the presence of this energy. It brings them deep peace and helps them find some acceptance in their lives.

2. My second super power is creating safety and trust with vulnerable parts of my clients.

We can call them inner children, exiles, or our core vulnerability.

My client shared with me today that even after working with several practitioners, I was the first one who their inner child trusted.

This made my heart melt. Because I love seeing the light, innocence and preciousness of my client’s inner children.

I attribute this ability partially to my own sensitivity, and partially to my own deep healing work that I have done over the last 13 years.

To be a safe space for other people’s vulnerability, we need to have that safety in ourselves first and it takes hard work for some of us who haven’t experienced it as children.

How does having a good connection with your inner child looks like in real life? It helps us be in touch with our creativity, life force, playfulness, joy and intimacy with others.

I have some space now to take on a few clients so if you or someone who you know can use this in their life right now, please DM me or schedule a free consult for us to meet at my website.

Happiness is the feeling of our needs being met.

08/28/2024

We overwork because we don’t feel worthy without doing.

When we need to prove ourselves that we are enough, there is a compulsive need for pushing and doing.

We often don’t even realize it, because it feels good to be productive. We might receive praise or feel a sense of success and accomplishment.

Yet, there is a cost.

We abandon our authenticity and joy when we compensate for deep-seated feelings of unworthiness with doing and working.

When we don’t feel good enough, there is sadness, grief, and longing to be whole.

When I worked at Google many years ago, I would see it all around me.

The culture of over-achievers who compensate for deep feelings of not-enoughness with a work version of “straight As” (and many of them like myself were straight A students, of course).

Not all people perform from this place.

Some highly achieving people come from a place of knowing their inherent goodness which allows them to perform at a high level (aka “happiness advantage”).

How to distinguish between the two ways of working?

The first one, coming from the place of not-enoughness, can be categorized by tension, urgency, anxiety.

There is something to be lost (sense of self) if success is not achieved, there is a need to defend the image of “enoughness”.

Coming from your sense of wholeness, the second option, feels much more peaceful.

Nothing is at stake because your worthiness is not conditional!

You can really relax and sink deep into your action and mission.

After a while, you can easily see what place you are coming from.

You can start seeing it in others too!

Try this at work for fun and let me know if you can distinguish between the two.

I would love to hear what you find!
