You might be blaming your hormones… but it could actually be your blood sugar 🕵🏻
I see this everrryyyday:
Waking up exhausted. Sugar and carb cravings. Mood swings. That afternoon crash when you can’t wait for a little caffeine jolt.
And the first thought is: my hormones must be off.
But a lot of the time, blood sugar can be a huge piece of the puzzle. (Because it’s never just one thing!)
Before you cut carbs or assume something is “wrong,” try supporting your body:
– balance your meals (protein + fat + carbs)
– go for a short walk after carb-heavy meals (or even 30 bodyweight squats)
– enjoy dessert or a sweet treat after a meal instead of on its own
– focus on consistency over restriction
If you feel like something deeper is going on, this is where functional labs can be a game changer - looking at blood sugar, cortisol patterns, thyroid, and hormones together.
