🚨 Did you know Uber is facing its second civil rights lawsuit for violating the ADA by discriminating against riders with disabilities?

In 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice sued Uber for charging “wait time” fees to riders who, because of disability, needed more than two minutes to get into an Uber vehicle. Now, in 2025, the DOJ is again suing Uber for denying rides to people with disabilities, including those with stowable wheelchairs.

In the UK, a city went “cashless” for parking, and people who rely on cash or don’t use smartphones were left stranded. No tap-to-pay. No cash option. Just an app.

Sound familiar? It’s happening here too. In the U.S., more cities are switching to app-only meters or QR-code pay stations, with little regard for people with disabilities and their caregivers.
