Such great news for our neighbor Staub Art Studio!

Big things will be happening at Staub in the coming months! I’m thrilled to share that I was awarded a grant from the state to renovate the exterior (Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Neighborhood BusinessWorks (NBW) Business Boost Microgrant program). The original storefront windows and entrance will be brought back, providing more natural light in the downstairs classroom and a place to display artwork to the community.

Tomorrow and Saturday, the layers of siding will be removed to reveal the original cedar shakes. We have an asbestos management company (thank you, ASI) coming to take full precautions since some of the siding is asbestos. Fingers crossed that we will be able to preserve it! Stay tuned…

Don’t worry, we’ll be ready for the start of classes on Monday!
