Rheumatology Express is pleased to welcome Dr Deepak Gupta to join our practice and is actively seeing patients at 4660 Wilkens Ave, Baltimore MD 21229 and our new location 1380 Progress way STE 112, Eldersburg MD 21784.
He completed his early medical education at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. Later, he obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) from the University of London, London, United Kingdom. He worked as a Research Associate at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University, Massachusetts (MA), USA. Subsequently, he did his Internal Medicine residency and one-year hospitalist position at Saint Vincent Hospital (An affiliate of the University of MA Medical School), Worcester, MA. He finished his Rheumatology fellowship at the State University of New York (NY), Stony Brook, NY. He was an Assistant professor with Tufts University School of Medicine at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, MA. His most recent position before joining Rheumatology Express was with Sagebrush Health. He has working in Maryland for over 15 years with Mid Atlantic Permanente Medical Group/Kaiser Permanente in Maryland. He believes in delivering compassionate and cost-effective care to patients with Rheumatic diseases incorporating newer medications and technologies.
His area of interest include clinical practice in autoimmune rheumatic disorders in adult patients- Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Vasculitis- Small, Medium and Large vessel Vasculitis, Systemic sclerosis, Sjogren’s syndrome, Dermatomyositis/Polymyositis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic arthritis, Enteropathic arthritis, Reactive Arthritis, Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Autoimmune inflammatory disorders such as periodic fever syndromes including Adult onset still’s disease and non-autoimmune rheumatic disorders- osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, crystal induced arthritis- Gout and Pseudogout, metabolic bone disorders and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
