Today, Beechwood Assisted Living was filled with the true spirit of the season — family, friends, employees, and residents gathered together in celebration and gratitude. 🎄
We honored the dedication of our incredible team, including Gloria, who has worked alongside Bruce for 30 years this December, and Kim, celebrating 28 years of faithful service. Their commitment reflects the heart of Beechwood.
During the gathering, Bruce became choked up as he shared how, 30 years ago, the Lord gently nudged his pen to add Beechwood’s tagline:
“Care and security with a family of friends.”
Those words continue to define Beechwood today.
The food alone told a story of love. Five pounds of crab dip didn’t last long, alongside more than 120 homemade meatballs, sandwiches, cheese and veggie trays, desserts, teriyaki and BBQ chicken, and classic mac and cheese. The aromas filled the house, turning the gathering into something that felt less like an event and more like home.
A special blessing dance was shared by one of our employees, beautifully connecting children to seniors in a moment that spoke without words. Claire filled the home with Christmas joy as she played beloved carols on the baby grand piano, while the house and tree stood fully decorated — warm, welcoming, and ready for the season.
While our two 101-year-old residents chose to enjoy their meals quietly in their rooms to avoid extra noise and seasonal germs, they were very much present in spirit — sharp, witty, and full of humor. And Mr. Gordon, preparing to celebrate 102 years of life this year, reminded us all that joy and conversation only deepen with time.
This is Beechwood.
A place of care, connection, tradition, and love — especially during the holidays. ❤️✨
