Stroke and heart attack are two very serious conditions that require immediate care — but they're not the same thing. Heart attack occurs when blood flow to the heart is blocked. Most strokes occur when blood flow to the brain is blocked. If you're feeling the symptoms of either condition, call 911 or have someone drive you to the emergency room immediately.
