🎉✨ We're thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the Nasseri Clinic family, Kristin Brown, Nurse Practitioner! 🌟 Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Adult Health, Kristin brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to our team.

Kristin's journey in healthcare began at the University at Buffalo, where she earned both her Bachelor's (2010) and Master's (2012) degrees in Nursing. With a strong foundation in hospital medicine, she later transitioned to outpatient care, gaining invaluable experience in endocrinology, palliative care/pain management, and Allergy and Immunology.

Kristin distinguishes herself not only through her commitment to patient-centered care, but also through her deep empathy and exceptional understanding of each patient's unique needs. She is deeply passionate about ensuring every patient receives the highest level of attention, compassion, and personalized treatment. The buildup of uric acid in your blood from the breakdown of purines causes gout. Certain conditions, such as blood and metabolism disorders or dehydration, make your body produce too much uric acid. A kidney or thyroid problem, or an inherited disorder, can make it harder for your body to remove excess uric acid. You're more likely to get gout if you: - are a middle-aged man or postmenopausal woman - have parents, siblings, or other family members with gout - drink alcohol - take medications such as diuretics and cyclosporine - have a condition like high blood pressure, kidney disease, thyroid disease, diabetes, or sleep apnea In some people with gout, diet is the cause.
