“When my son was getting close to his second birthday and still wasn’t talking, I felt that deep, quiet panic that so many parents know. You start questioning everything. You start wondering if you’re doing enough. You just want someone to see your child and help you understand what they need.
That’s when I reached out to Motor Mouth Therapy for a speech evaluation — and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my child.
From the very first appointment, their team didn’t just see delays or check boxes. They saw him. His strengths. His personality. His potential. After his speech evaluation, his therapist gently suggested we also do an occupational therapy evaluation. That moment changed our path in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
Since then, our journey with Motor Mouth has continued to grow. My son now receives ABA services through them and is about to start physical therapy as well. Having speech, OT, ABA, and soon PT all working together has been powerful. It feels like we have a team, not just providers, who are truly invested in helping him thrive.
One of the things I feel most strongly about sharing with other parents is their staff retention. I hear heartbreaking stories all the time about kids having to constantly adjust to new therapists because clinics can’t keep their staff. That instability can slow progress and make trust so much harder to build. At Motor Mouth, that has not been our experience. My son has had the same occupational therapist for three years, and one of his RBTs has been part of his life for over a year. These relationships matter. They create safety. They create growth. They create real change.
