Have you seen the stats on food allergies?

✔️ 1 in every 13 children have food allergies in the U.S.

✔️ Food allergies in children increased approximately 50% between 1997 and 2011.

✔️ Every 3 minutes, a food allergy reaction sends someone to the emergency room.

This is downright frightening.

Could it be that we are sick from all the chemicals the food industry invents to improve their bottom line?

TBHQ is a chemical preservative used in Reese’s, Totino’s Pizza, and Pop Tarts.

A study out of Michigan State University found that TBHQ causes abnormal reactions in the immune system that triggers food allergies.

They found that TBHQ negatively affects “T-cells” in the body (which are generally used to fight infections) in a way that promotes allergies to tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat and shellfish.

While it’s doubtful that a single food additive is the cause of all food allergies, this is very interesting.

Something needs to be done to figure out what’s going on and I really feel for the parents who live in constant fear that their child will come in contact with something they are allergic to. I know from my own experience with family members who have life-threatening food allergies – it’s one of the scariest things you have to deal with.

It’s never too early to begin teaching your children about artificial dyes. I’ve been teaching both my children since they could talk about how to spot these dyes and why we don’t eat them. I love teaching them the truth about industrial processed food - what an incredible opportunity I have that my parents did not.

It makes my blood boil when I see food companies use these dyes in food targeting our kids. You’ve got to ask why food brands use this, when there are much safer alternatives to make food yellow…like turmeric!

You may know the risks of these ingredients – but not everyone does. Most people would be shocked if they knew what the government allows in food products.

The #1 thing you can do to help is share this post. There are a lot of people out there who don’t know the truth about the food they are eating and buying for their kids.

I’ve made it my mission to tell people the truth. And I want companies to change, because it is wrong to sell poisons for profit. Especially when it’s food for our children.
