A new measles case has been reported in Cass County - the first case in that county in 2026. This brings the total number of cases to date this year in ND to 38 cases. Five cases were hospitalized.
The Ransom County outbreak is now considered over. In Grand Forks County, HHS is still recommending early/accelerated MMR vaccination because it remains an outbreak area. Unvaccinated individuals are encouraged to talk to their healthcare provider about immunization. Measles is highly contagious - and highly preventable.
