🩵 **Important Update from Top Line Therapeutic** 🩵

Hi friends,

I wanted to share that due to an unexpected medical concern, I’ll be stepping back from hands-on equine sessions for the next few weeks—likely around a month—as I focus on healing and recovery. This was a tough decision, but one I’m committed to, just like I always encourage my clients (both horse and human!) to rest and restore when needed.

Prince the Magical Unicorn is powering up his horn to help the healing process.

Thank you for your patience in correspondence, I have spent the last week hospitalized. Hopefully when I am able to return home I will get caught up on any missed texts or emails!

I already miss seeing your amazing horses and being part of their wellness journeys. While I won’t be able to work in person for a little while, please reach out for any recommendations or referrals!

Thank you all for your understanding and continued trust. I’ll be back as soon as I’m able—with more gratitude than ever for this incredible work and community. 🐴💕

It's not every day that I get to work with a horse who requires not just a step stool, but maybe a whole ladder! Though with Gunther here, it is every week. It's hard to believe this big boy is only 4, and we're going to make sure that any of his continued growing pains are minimal! To say that this horse is going to make an amazing therapy horse is an understatement. He is so calm, sweet, and his only vice seems to be that he forgets his head weighs 80 lbs when he comes in for a kiss 💋! Thanks for trusting me to take good care of your boy, while keeping him decked in Cardinals red. Thanks for all that you do for Gunther and horses like him!

Braden is a great guy and a wonderful horseman. He recently had an accident while competing and is fighting to recover. If you can't donate to his medical costs, please send prayers to him and his family! It doesn't matter the discipline, I know the Arizona horse community supports it's own!!!

Sometimes you can just feel the thank you. After we did blue light for some wound care, and I did what I call a "headache taping" I got one of those great moments that makes me love my job even more. Little Joey here literally pushed his forehead right on to mine and held it there. We didn't have to share a spoken language to understand that he was very grateful and was feeling some relief. 💕

This goobert.... is named Qbert! He's a very funny quarter horse that was suffering from a very severe quarter crack in one hoof. Thankfully his dad ( ) got all the right people lined up for him from vets, to farriers, to trainers ( ), Masterson practitioners ( ), and little ole me. Q has been healing from both mental and physical overwork under everyone's watchful care. I love seeing this guy come out of his shell, even when that means sometimes he's a handful 🐎♥️. I will always take a horse that will communicate with me while I work, over a horse that has been ignored so long they just don't even bother to speak up anymore. I've had the privilege of seeing him go from stepping very gingerly and post legged, to confidently striding out of his stall! We have been using red light all over, but focusing on his front feet with red light hoof boots. Combined with kinesology taping (in his favorite color ♥️ of course), we have seen great results in his overall hoof health!! Red light therapy works on a cellular level, so it is an amazing compliment to traditional massage therapy. Thank you John for letting me be part of the team!! If your horse is working through an injury, set up an appointment and let's get them on the road to healing.

Your fun AZ horse fact for the day, mustangs and the Salt River horses are not wild, they're feral. But read more about the only wild horse breed and how we are hopefully working to save them from extinction.

Very cool wildlife effort by the Prague Zoo! Przewalski's horses are the ONLY wild breed of horse left in the world. Even mustangs and our Salt River horses are only considered feral, not wild. They have been bred with domestic horses for so long, usually by accident, they are no longer a true breed. This is one reason why it is imported to support responsible zoos (an easy way to find ethical zoos in the US is to see if they're accredited with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums). The Phoenix Zoo is leading the charge on reintroducing the black footed ferret to its natural habitat. Humans caused these species to go to the brink of extinction, we should have a hand in returning them to the wild.

Thursday morning, a Czech Army CASA aircraft landed in Arkalyk, central Kazakhstan, with four more Przewalski’s horses. The mares, Tessa, Wespe, Umbra and Sary, had undergone an 18-hour flight from Berlin, followed by a seven-hour truck journey...
