As we close out 2025, we pause to reflect on all that this year has asked of us. We carry forward the lessons that strengthened us and intentionally “brush away”what no longer belongs in the season ahead. Reflection becomes renewal.

As we step into 2026, we do so in the Year of the Fire Horse—a symbol of power, courage, and forward motion. There is a certain irony in this fiery, determined energy arriving on the heels of a difficult year. And yet, perhaps that is exactly how transformation begins.

Fire does not destroy what is essential—it “Ignites”it.

Ignite Counseling and Equine Psychotherapy is ready to take the reins. With grounded intention and renewed vision, we leave the past behind, move with purpose in the present, and gallop boldly into the future—guided by strength, resilience, and hope in the Year of the Fire Horse. We are excided about our new location, our non-profit and many new opportunity’s for people to experience our beautiful horses. 🐴🔥

💜💜 It comes with great sadness to announce the passing of our beautiful girl, Violet. She really was the sweetest mare. Not only did she love to spend time with our clients she also enjoyed bossing the pony around. She had a way of picking the person out of the crowd who needed extra attention and would often gently nudge us for wither scritches or beg for bananas. She was always kind and loving and will be so greatly missed. I am so grateful she entered my life. She’s up there still doing the work from the other side. 💜💜

This beautiful mustang mare, Stella has never laid down in session before. She did so at the most opportune moment today as we were discussing secure attachment. The fence is keeping her safe, the water is keeping her hydrated, the sun is keeping her warm, her horse friends are keeping her in connection, and she feels safe to close her eyes and lay down next to us. Her needs are being met and she sure looks relaxed. I’m so blessed to have these amazing horses in the program. We will soon be launching our Non Profit to provide mental health counseling for those in need and who could benefit from witnessing the sweetness of our Stella. Stay tuned!

I had the opportunity to clinic with Heather Blitz over the week and am grateful for her expertise and her kind and masterful coaching. One thing I was able to take away from the lesson was putting attention to the “up beat” in the canter. Once I was able to draw attention to it, my balance shifted, and well you can see it created harmony and a beautiful connection between Newman and myself. It got me thinking of how just the single act of bringing attention and awareness to new perspectives in life can make subtle yet impactful shifts in connection and balance. 💫

🔥IGNITES NEW HOME!! 🔥 We are so blessed to call this gorgeous facility, Spirit Ranch, our new home! The horses are settled in and the team is still in awe of the breathtaking views and vistas. This private facility will be the place of reconnection and growth and it’s just ten miles from our previous location! 🦄 We got BIG plans for the future .. be sure to stay tuned! 🐴

Still overwhelmed by the New Leaf gala event last night. The support of our community and their amazing generosity raised $ in sponsorship for equine therapy for kiddos in shelters. New Leaf is an amazing charity and it’s an honor to be partnering with them on this program.🐴🌺❤️
