Update: Flags have been located and all is well.
What a sad state of affairs it is when ten 3' x 4' American flags we had lining the drive into the cemetery were stolen by some loathsome human being in the past couple hours. On Memorial Day just makes it even more devastating and disgusting.

The IVHLC Association is putting out this reminder that the cemetery can no longer allow any kind of glass or ceramic vases/containers or ornamental decorations (that can break) to be put on the graves. It has become a great danger with liability issues. They break from the weather or just getting old, someone comes along, w**d eats the overgrown grave and glass shards are flying everywhere. This also includes Mardi Gras beads and glass marble fillers for vases, etc........... Thank you for cooperating.

The IVHLCA will be honoring veterans who have served and who are no longer with us on Saturday May 25, 2024. We are asking the public to bring pictures of family and friends who have been in the military. At 9:00 am American Legion Post 70 will have a flag retirement/disposal ceremony. If you have a flag you want to retire, bring them by 8:45. After the ceremony the Old Timers potluck picnic will start around 12noon.
