This event is all about celebrating the Illinois Valley and the many organizations, partners, and community members who make this place so special. It’s also a chance for folks to come through our building, connect with resources, and see what’s available right here in our community.

In honor of Earth Day, Southern Oregon Sanitation is hosting a Free Trash Day right here in the Illinois Valley, giving our community a chance to clean up at no cost!

♻️ Residents can bring:
• Up to 1 cubic yard of household trash

We’re looking into starting a limited transportation option for seniors and adults with disabilities here in the Illinois Valley.

This would be a scheduled ride (not on-demand) to Grants Pass and/or Medford, with a small number of seats available.

Before we move forward, we need to know:
👉 Who would actually use it and be able to go on a set day?

If you (or someone you care for) needs transportation and would be able to go, please call us at 541-592-9781 to get on the list.

We’re just gathering names right now to see if this is doable - space will be limited if we move forward.

We’ll follow up with a phone call to get a few more details and help us plan routes and timing.

Did you know? Two local partners have stepped up to expand evening food access in the Illinois Valley 💚

Cave Junction Adventist Community Services now offers evening hours every Monday from 3:30–6:30 PM (in addition to their regular Tuesday hours).

Spiral Living Center is now open every other Thursday from 4:00–5:30 PM at the Illinois Valley Grange.

We’re incredibly grateful to these organizations for helping make food access more available for our community. 🙌

🏡 Affordable Housing Alert – Waitlist Now Open

At IVFC, we see every day how hard it is to find safe, affordable housing in our community.

Nebraska Trail (opening Fall 2026 in Grants Pass) is a step in the right direction, offering income-qualified 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units, but we know the need is still far greater.

Our community is working closely together right now to make sure everyone has access to food, and we’re doing our best to keep this list as accurate and up to date as possible. Please note that schedules and locations may continue to change over the next few weeks as we adjust and collaborate to meet the need.

We are incredibly grateful to the Four Way Community Foundation for their generous $7,500 grant to support new epoxy flooring in our kitchen and bathrooms at the Illinois Valley Family Coalition! 🏡

🌱 Seed Swap Countdown: 5 Days to Go! 🌱

The 20th Annual Community Seed Swap is just 5 days away, and the excitement is sprouting all over the Illinois Valley. 🌿

Gardeners, growers, seed savers, and curious neighbors will gather to exchange seeds, swap stories, and share knowledge. We’ll have the community seed exchange, scion wood sharing, Seed Swap Bingo, kids activities with the Sprout Scouts, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow plant lovers.

🌼 We’re still looking for a few more vendors and table hosts!
If you know a local grower, plant lover, garden educator, or artisan who should be part of the event, tag them in the comments and we’ll reach out with details.

🎤 Flash Skillshares – 10 to 15 minutes of garden wisdom
We also have space for a few Flash Skillshare talks. These are short, informal mini-sessions where someone shares a quick tip or bit of knowledge with the crowd. Topics could be things like seed saving, grafting, starting seedlings, compost tips, or anything garden-related.
If you’ve got something helpful to share, this is your moment. We still have a few open spots… and sometimes the best ideas appear right before the garden party begins. 🌱

This event has been a beloved Illinois Valley tradition for 20 years, and every new vendor, skillshare host, or table adds another layer to the garden we’re growing together.
