This week, the Illinois Valley Family Coalition joined forces with our amazing local partners IV CERT- Illinois Valley Community Emergency Response Team, Illinois Valley Fire Resiliency Oversight Group, and the Illinois Valley Fire District for the Red Cross Shelter Fundamentals Training in Medford!

We learned the ins and outs of what it takes to set up and run a safe, welcoming emergency shelter in times of need. Working side by side with other community organizations reminded us of the incredible strength and resilience of the Illinois Valley. 💛 Together, we’re better prepared to support our community- whatever challenges may come our way.

I.V. Living Solutions is excited to announce that HOPE Village, a low-barrier transitional housing community in the heart of the Illinois Valley, is now accepting applications!

🏠 What is HOPE Village?
HOPE Village offers 16 single-occupancy tiny homes—each providing 100 square feet of secure, private living space with:
✔️ A full-sized bed
✔️ Storage drawers
✔️ Electrical outlets

These homes surround a vibrant community space featuring:
🚿 Private-use showers and bathrooms
👕 Laundry facilities
🍽️ Shared kitchen
📦 Storage rooms
🧑‍💼 On-site manager and case management offices
👷 Onsite host workspace

Plus, residents can enjoy:
🌱 A community garden
🌳 Outdoor gazebos
🚲 A bike rack
🐾 A dog park

HOPE Village was inspired in part by the successful Foundry Village model in Grants Pass, and we are proud to bring this supportive, transitional community to the Illinois Valley.
