Review from a client!!!
My feedback after one year of use.
I have a 7 year old diagnosed 1.5 years ago with ADHD, ASD, Anxiety and Mood disorder, Sensory issues.
Therapies doing: Talking therapies - Speech, Occupational therapy and Psychologist
Invested in Neuroptimal machine for home use, son has now done 180 sessions in one year one month
Husband did 66 sessions (he isn't diagnosed yet)
I did 7 sessions (am not diagnosed )
Below is my experience with Neuroptimal (am not in here for business, am a user of the system) Everyone is different, I saw changes with my son after 150 sessions and changes in my husband after 40 sessions and with me, I saw changes after 6 sessions (but am not diagnosed, I just wanted to train my brain)
My son one year ago
1. Was not making eye contact
2. Had very impulsive behaviour. He would throw items almost every day in school so it was constant phone calls for me from the the school.
3. He had zero focus in class so he really fell behind according to the school, they put him at the bottom of the class with his academics.
4. He wouldn't write more than 2 words. He wouldn't pick a pencil to write
5. His anxiety was at 95%
6. He couldn't sit still and focus for more than 5 minutes 7. He was below his level in reading.
8. I had to help him make friends. He had zero friends.
9. He didn't seem to be aware when he did something wrong.
10. he didnt know when he needed a break
11. he never asked for help when stuck to do something
Now after 180 sessions of neuroptimal.
1. He is making eye contact
2. He has flown up the ladder in reading levels
3. He is now motivated to actually sit down and finish some tasks in class. Which has surprised everyone.
4. He now writes at least half a page and wants to finish writing
5. His anxiety is currently non existent. I don't see it at all.
6. He has made his own friends in school by himself... without my help.
7. He is now aware when he had done something wrong and he offers solutions on how to solve the problem.
8. We are in week 8 of the term and i have only had 2 incidents; one where he broke a water bottle and the other he was hurrying to sit down and pushed his way through the boys and knocked some over. However no incidents of throwing bricks or rocks over walls. So we went from daily incidents to now only 2 in 8 weeks.
9. he asks for help
10. he has learnt to ask for breaks
I also started giving him a natural supplement called Saffrosun calm from the naked pharmacy in the UK. IT keeps them calm and focused. Started that this year. He isn't on any ADHD meds because I didn't want them, I tried Ritalin for 2 weeks and he went psycho and that was it for me, I said NO DRUGS!!
Everyone is different, my advice, is be patient, be consistent.
some days earlier on in the training, my kid and hubby became irritable but it passed after I took a break and then started training again
Hope this helps for those questioning the system
