It was such a joy to celebrate them at our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast, complete with a delicious meal and a fun bee-themed twist.
Our volunteers truly make a difference every day—bringing kindness, support, and smiles to our community. Thank you for all you do—we appreciate you more than words can say!

What a fun day at the races! 🏇🌹
From mint juleps and tasty hors d’oeuvres to fabulous hats 🎩✨—we had it all! The stars of the show? Mini horses Seabiscuit and Sham from Mini Paws 🐴 (and yes, they were as adorable as you’re imagining).
Our “race” brought the laughs, with residents helping roll our racers forward—and in the end, Chaplain Q took the crown as “A Horse with No Name” 🏆
Residents placed their bets, cheered on their favorites, and a one lucky winner even trotted away with the prize May Day basket 🎁
Safe to say… this one was a winner! 🐎

Our last full day of touring included the Museum of the US Air Force on the Wright Patterson Air Base in Dayton, Ohio. Way to many aviation accomplishments to show or name! So much history in a huge complex! Then it was a short ride to Shipshewana, IN to visit the Amish community, take a buggy ride and enjoy a fantastic home cooked dinner! We'll leave tomorrow morning and will be back on campus around 4:00pm. Thanks for coming along with us! Registration is now open for our Route 66 road trip this fall in celebration of Route 66's 100th anniversary. Contact Carolyn Ayers (Carolyn.ayers@westernhome.org) for more information.
