To all of our dear patients and their families,
This time of crisis has been difficult, but has made us count our blessings. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with all of our amazing patients and their families. We are looking forward to seeing all of you and getting back to working on those beautiful smiles!
As many of you know we have been given permission by Governor Reynolds to resume our orthodontic operations. There are many new policies and procedures that will need to be put in place to ensure the safety of everyone in the office, patients and our team alike. It is important to remember that this crisis is not over and we need to take every precaution to ensure the safety and health of everyone. As we are all returning to the office we want to take this opportunity to discuss the changes that you or your loved ones will be experiencing.
Prior to coming to your appointment: If you are not feeling well (fever, cough, sniffles, etc.) please stay home and get well. We will reschedule your appointment to a time when you are feeling better. If you have been traveling and put in environments that may have exposed you to any illness, please reschedule your appointment to ensure that we do not have any “silent” carriers of any illnesses.
We do recommend that patients wear their own face masks into the office for your safety and the safety of others. Additionally, we want everyone to fit in as we will all be wearing masks as well!
When you arrive to your appointment: Please wait in your car until your scheduled appointment time as we want to minimize the individuals in our waiting room. Per CDC guidelines, we are asking that parents, siblings, and other guests wait outside the office, meaning that only the patient will come into the office for their appointment to minimize the amount of people in our office at any one time. Exceptions to this policy will be new patient examinations, observation examinations, and treatment consultations, however, for routine adjustment appointments, please follow these guidelines. Feel free to contact us via telephone or email with any questions, concerns, or update requests you may have. As always, we want everyone to stay informed, comfortable, and confident with their orthodontic treatment.
All doctors, staff, and patients will have their temperatures taken upon entering the office. Once we have verified that you do not have a fever, we will be reviewing a few questions to ensure your current health. Following all of that new fun, we will get down to the regular business of your orthodontic visit.
When we finish your appointment, we will schedule your next visit at the chairside, to avoid anyone waiting at our front desk. If you do not feel comfortable scheduling your next appointment at the chairside, we will happily schedule the next appointment over the telephone or via email.
These new procedures will likely add a little more time to each appointment. As always, we will do our best to keep our schedule running on time and minimize your time waiting, but please be patient as we all work through this “new normal”. If we are running behind, we will do our best to inform you of the situation and your anticipated wait time.
We know that this has been a huge inconvenience to all of you and we sincerely appreciate all of your patience, understanding, and kind words through all of this. We will attempt to make the best of a less than ideal situation and promise to provide the best care we possibly can! We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with each of you!
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about these new procedures or anything if there is anything else we can do for you, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Sincerely,
Dr. Boe, Dr. Holahan, and the entire Holahan & Boe Orthodontic team
