We had the absolute honor of celebrating one of our sweet patients turning 103 years old! Being invited to share in such a joyful milestone is something we never take for granted. From smiles to laughter and all the moments in between, it was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

Hospice care is centered on enhancing quality of life, focusing on comfort, dignity, and creating meaningful moments for those we are honored to serve. Recently, one of our patients celebrated a very special 105th birthday. Her only request was simple yet heartfelt — custard pie and deviled eggs. While we were making memories to last a lifetime, we were reminded that sometimes a birthday wish can be as small as a few favorite foods shared with caring hearts.

Celebrating 105 years is truly remarkable, and our team is so grateful for the time we are given and the relationships we are able to build with each individual and their families. It is a privilege to help make each day — and each milestone — just as special as the life being celebrated.

For us, hospice care is about more than medical support — it’s about celebrating the individuality of each person and helping create meaningful moments.

One of our patients had a special birthday wish for her 95th birthday this month — to have her left ear re-pierced. After undergoing reconstructive surgery on that ear, she was no longer able to wear earrings, something she truly missed.

With the help of her hair salon, we were able to make that wish come true. She is now proudly rocking some new bling!

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Whether big or small, we are grateful to be part of experiences that mean so much to the patients and families we serve.
