Can you believe that Fall is right around the corner? Feels like summer just flew by. As the colder weather approaches, now is a great time to prepare your skincare routine for the transition.

Here are a few of my top tips to keep your skin healthy as we step into fall:
- Book your intensive treatments. Treatments like chemical peels are best done in the fall and winter months when sun exposure is at a minimum. These treatments can leave your skin more sensitive to the sun. Wondering which treatments are best for you? Book a skin consultation and we can find the best treatment that fits the needs of your skin.

- Find a body oil you love. The skin on your body feels the impact of the colder temps and windier conditions as well. Find a body lotion or oil you love and get into the habit of slathering it on post-shower.

- Pull out the humidifier. Using a humidifier to keep them warm and moist can keep your skin happy during the cooler months. Cold air can dry out the skin which may lead to a weaker moisture barrier.

- Use a thicker moisturizer. Speaking of moisture and keeping your moisture barrier happy by shelving your oil-free lotion in exchange for one with a heavier formula.

- Reduce physical and chemical exfoliation. With lower temps comes a break from the constant sweating (finally!). Because of this, you may want to cut back on your exfoliating products.

- Increase hydrating ingredients. Think ceramides and hyaluronic acids! Time to get some hydrating serums ready!

Here are a few of my fav skincare ingredients that will get your skin prepped and ready for your makeup routine.

Hyaluronic acid = plump and hydrated skin
Niacinamide = improved skin tone and texture
Peptides = support the moisture barrier
BHA/AHA = sloughs off dead skin cells
Vitamin C = brightens complexion
Lactic acid = helps with uneven texture and tone

Here are a few of my favs:
- Sunscreen: Protects the skin from sun damage.
- Glycolic acid: Can reduce sun damage.
- Retinoids: Increase the production of collagen minimizing fine lines.
- Peptides:- pe*****te the outer layer of your skin sending signals to your skin to create more collagen
- Ferulic acid: Helps to boost the effects of other antioxidants.
- Niacinamide: Enhance the function of your skin barrier.
- Hyaluronic Acid: Helps your skin attract moisture and locks it in.
- Vitamin C: Neutralizes free radicals that create oxidative stress to your skin and can lead to premature skin aging.
