Expecting a baby brings all the emotions — excitement, nerves, joy, and so much love. 🤍
Whether it’s your first or your fourth, every journey is unique and beautiful.

I felt so honored to capture this sweet St. Louis family from maternity, to their Fresh 48, and finally their newborn session. Watching big siblings fall in love and seeing how deeply this baby was cherished from the very beginning was truly special.

These moments pass far too quickly — I’m so grateful to help families preserve them. ✨

Last year was truly a year.
One that changed me forever.

I experienced what is likely the greatest loss of my life—losing my mom. I’ve known loss before, but this one carved something new into my heart. Being her caregiver through the end of her life was both the greatest gift and one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Watching the sudden changes… then the daily ones… loving her through all of it. It’s something that will stay with me always.

At the same time, I began training for what I feel is one of my life’s greatest callings—supporting women and families as they grow, learn, and welcome new life into the world. Becoming a doula while continuing my work as a photographer feels so deeply right. This is where I am meant to be. I know it in my bones.

I also know my mom—and those I’ve lost before her—are watching, guiding, and cheering me on every step of the way.

So today, I’m sharing my end-of-2025 business blog post. Not just to reflect on work, but to honor the closing of one chapter and the quiet, hopeful beginning of another.

I am endlessly grateful for my husband, my family, and my friends who have loved me, supported me, and gently pushed me forward when I needed it most. You know who you are—and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know I am still struggling, still grieving daily and could not do it without these people.

And finally, I’m sharing this photo of my mom and me from the last trip I took her on. She loved to travel, and although this trip was short—her health was already declining—it means everything to me. I truly love this photo. 🤍
