Well it is that time of year.
I got to photograph Ella in the fall but now we did some super special photos.
Then we ended the session with Cap -n- Gown photos. This girl showed up exactly as she is—confident, genuine, and completely comfortable in her own skin. No pretending, no trying to be anything else… just her. And that kind of energy? You can’t fake it. It just radiates. I saw it in her at her senior session, and when I photographed her performing with her saxaphone, and now again,.

This season isn’t just about the cap and gown. It’s about everything it took to get here—the growth, the hard days, the figuring it all out along the way. Ella carries all of that with so much quiet strength, and it shows.

I have no doubt she’s going to do amazing things… not just because of where she’s headed, but because of who she already is.

So proud of you, Ella 🎓

Lately I’ve been reflecting on this journey I’ve stepped into… and it feels so special to pause and really take it in 🤍

Since beginning my doula training, I’ve had the honor of:
• Supporting 5 births
• Photographing 4 labors
• Caring for 4 postpartum mamas (including overnight support)

Each family, each story, each moment has been so different… and yet all so deeply meaningful.

Being invited into these spaces is something I will never take lightly.
It’s sacred. It’s emotional. It’s powerful.

And I’m so grateful to continue walking alongside families in this season of life 🤍

In short the last 9 months have been amazing. I have finished the coursework to be a fully certified Doula and am just waiting on the final Certificate from the Board over at MaternityWise. Next step is to finish up the post partum certification and lactation certification. I know this is MY journey.

I am also every thankful for over at Wild Roots Birth Collective for mentoring me. What an amazing group of women she has put together.
