🌞 Imbolc (Feb 1-2) also known as the celebration of returning light, is one of the four ancient Gaelic traditional festivals that marks the beginning of spring.
🌞 Imbolc is associated with the triple deity Brigid, who has a strong connection with the sun and represents wisdom, poetry, healing, fertility, protection, smithing and the guardian goddess of domesticated animals.
🌞 Its traditions have included weaving Brigid’s crosses over doors and windows to protect against fire, illness, and evil spirits. On Imbolc’s eve, people would make a bed for Brigid, leave her food and drink, and set items of clothing outside for her to bless.
✔️ Here are some rituals that you can perform to celebrate this special day:
- 🌳 Practice solitude and go on a nature walk
- 🌱 Plant seeds to create a garden
- 🍂 Create an Imbolc Altar (with fresh herbs a candle and dry leaves)
- 🕯 Light candles around your house
- 🧘♀️ Meditate on your intentions about what would you like to grow in yourself.
- 🧹 Spring cleaning and/or cleansing ritual

🌞 Imbolc está asociado con la triple deidad Brigid, que tiene una fuerte conexión con el sol y representa la sabiduría, la poesía, la curación, la fertilidad, la protección, la herrería y la diosa guardiana de los animales domesticados.
🌞 Sus tradiciones incluyen tejer cruces de Brigid sobre puertas y ventanas para proteger contra el fuego, las enfermedades y los espíritus malignos. En la víspera de Imbolc, la gente preparaba una cama para Brigid, ofrendaba comida y bebida y dejaba prendas de vestir afuera para que ella las bendijera.
