We all have hopes about what our life will have meant in the end. But only in looking backwards, once the dust of life has settled, can we see what it actually meant. What really happened, rather than what we hoped would have happened.

Despite this, we can only live Forward.

For Kierkegaard, a "leap of faith" was to move Forward based on a Foundation of purpose and meaning that faith provides. That there is a point to your life. That you have value. That even the mistakes and tragedies can be redeemed for the good, in this life or the next.
