We had a great day today helping our patients to recover their health, 2 reflux/hiatal hernia operations, a gastric band removal, and a complex case where the patient was operated on many years ago and it has a recurrence of her hiatal hernia. Always thankful for being able to do what I love. It is a blessing to help my patients using the most advanced surgical technology.

Sleeve gastrectomy is a common intervention performed by bariatric surgeons. This intervention is a restrictive procedure that removes 70 to 80% of your stomach. Portion control is extremely important for weight loss as well as adequate nutrition and life modification with activity and diet. absorption of nutrients is minimally affected by sleeve gastrtomies, post operative, following an adequate diet progression preop and post op is extremely important in the recovery of the patient's health.

Recurrent ventral hernia, robotic removal of previous mesh, and repair of the defect with Intraperitoneal onlay mesh repair. The patient went home from recovery.

Recurrent Ventral Hernia, in this case, this patient had a mesh repaired intraperitoneal ventral hernia 6y ago, the recurrent defect was closed primarily and the previous mesh was removed, an IPOM was performed to overly the defect by 5cm in each direction. The patient was sent home from recovery.

Complex incisional recurrent ventral hernia, repair robotically with primary closure and a 20x15cm intra-abdominal mesh. Patient went home the same day, returned to regular activities in 5 days.

Endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, ESG, is the newest treatment for patients who suffer from obesity. I am excited to announce to our community that I will be the first bariatric surgeon in the Austin area, to perform endoscopic gastroplasty, as well as trans-oral, endoscopic revisions. I am in constant personal improvement to provide my patients with the best possible care.

After starting as a laparoscopic surgeon, I had the opportunity to transition my practice into a Robotic surgical approach, two years have passed since then, and I have completed my first 500 cases in the robot, with over 150 bariatric, 100 hiatal hernias, 200 abdominal wall hernias and other general surgical interventions, including gallbladder, spleen and colon!
