KidStrong Cedar Park KidStrong is a science-based kids training program that builds strong, confident and high-character kids.

KidStrong is Athletic Play—a new kind of activity for kids ages 1-11 that builds confidence, character and family connection through science-based fitness games led by expert coaches. Our program is designed with the whole child in mind, focusing on three key pillars: Character, Physical and Cognitive development. We teach kids to believe in themselves, show parents their kid’s superpowers and help families grow together in moments of celebration and showing off.

This week at KidStrong, we’re continuing to focus on one of the most important and versatile bodyweight skills: THE PUSH-UP! 💥💥

Push-ups support whole-child development because they are:

✔️ A functional movement that supports joint alignment
✔️ A core, shoulder and postural strength builder—which supports kids inside and outside of the classroom
✔️ Able to support discipline, endurance and confidence. Push-ups aren’t about speed—they’re about form and doing it RIGHT.

Push-ups aren’t just a strength exercise—they’re a developmental power move. 💪

This week at KidStrong, we’re celebrating our kids’ progress in gymnastics-based skills, especially the push-up—a foundational movement with BIG benefits:

💪 Full body strength—Push-ups are one of the most efficient ways to build total-body strength safely.

🧠 Mind-body connection—Proper form requires coordination between the brain and the body, stabilizing the spine, aligning the joints, and controlling the movement from start to finish.

💥 Confidence—Gymnastics skills help kids learn what their bodies can do, adjust their movements in real-time, and work through challenges to build confidence.

That’s what we love about push-ups at KidStrong. They don’t just help kids get physically stronger, they help them believe in their own ability to work hard and improve.

At KidStrong we use team-based challenges to develop critical skills like problem solving, communication and empathy. Kids who learn to work together are learning how to live a happy, socially connected life. 🙌 🙌

Coach Zach brings kindness, focus, and fun to everything he does. Whether he's guiding obstacle courses, helping kids crush their goals, or jumping into games at camp, he shows up with heart and purpose every single day. ❤️🙌

While we’re sad to say he’ll be heading back to law school after summer wraps up 🎓📚 (go change the world, Zach!), we are SO grateful for the time we’ve had with him.

Balance may look like a beam and a few careful steps—but it is SO much more.

🌟 This week at KidStrong, we’re proud to see so many kids conquering balance challenges and building skills for life along the way!🌟

While practicing balance, kids are also building:

⚖️ Focus: Staying steady starts with concentration.
⚖️ Core strength: Balance challenges activate key muscles that support stability and power for every move we make.
⚖️ Cognitive awareness: Balance stimulates the vestibular system (inner ear), which connects to brain areas in charge of learning and attention.
⚖️ Motor skills: Balance refines gross motor skills and fine motor skills alike, helping kids get the grounding they need for precise movements.
⚖️ A healthy future: Walking, running, good posture, even carrying backpacks and reaching for items on high shelves require balance and stability.

It isn’t all fun and games—even though a lot of it is! By practicing balance, kids learn how to move through the world with confidence, so they’re ready to face any challenge life throws their way. 💪

What is KidStrong?

KidStrong is a unique child development program that's curriculum is based on the latest in developmental science and leverages experts in the fields of pediatric occupational therapy, child development, sports physiology, and physical education. We offer classes from ages 13 months (walking) to 8 years old. Classes are 45 minutes long and we have 2 professional coaches on the floor the entire time. In each class, we work on physical, mental, and character progressions.
