What I’m grateful for — even as an aesthetic injector. 👇

Aging.

Yep… actually aging.

In a world that tells us to fight every line and freeze every expression, I’m grateful for the privilege of getting older. Every year, every wrinkle, every change is proof that I’m still here, still living, still growing.

Contrary to popular industry norms, my job is not to erase aging. It’s to help people feel confident moving through it. To support the skin and features you already have, not replace them. To enhance, not overdo.

Natural aging is a gift. And I’m grateful every day for the opportunity to help people embrace that with a little more ease and a lot more confidence.

So in this season of gratitude, I hope we can all extend a little more grace to ourselves. Aging is an honor, a privilege, and something not everyone gets to experience. Embrace it, celebrate it, and remember that every year holds its own kind of beauty.

I get asked this a lot, and it really comes down to one thing: I believe in enhancing what’s naturally there, not changing it.

Full, overfilled lips might be trending, but trends fade. What never goes out of style is balance, proportion, and results that age beautifully.

If full lips are your thing, that’s okay… beauty is personal, and everyone deserves to feel confident in their own way. But as injectors, we have a responsibility to act as medical professionals, not just service providers. That means saying no when a treatment doesn’t align with anatomy, safety, or long-term results.

My goal isn’t to give everyone the same set of lips. It’s to create harmony, preserve natural movement, and help you feel confident in a way that still looks like you.

Revive in Cedar Rapids is currently under construction and set to open October 7th! The location is in the NewBo District, right behind Parlor City. Erica Nygaard, ARNP is the owner of the spa in Cedar Rapids. She has over four years of experience with a goal of helping others improve their health naturally along with the aesthetic services that are offered. There will be two Estheticians joiningRevive in the Cedar Rapids location. Combined, they have nearly 30 years of experience working with skin. We can call them the experts of skin!
