This is 2nd (1pm-9pm) and/or 3rd shift (9pm-5am), and every other weekend. Some OT offered. Our client has dementia and is feisty. She can be the sweetest, funniest person but has developed some crankiness due to a sickness a few months ago developing some frontal lobe damage. She is in her house so we clean up after ourselves and her. We cook for her, ADL's and medication reminders.
Raise after 60 days if reliable and responsible (communication is key). Must be able to redirect when client is upset. Remember she has dementia and put yourself in her shoes. Our clients are people and we strive to treat them as if they were our family or how we would want to be treated in that position.
