Foundation 2 Crisis Services and Junior League of Cedar Rapids are partnering to serve young people aging out of foster care for our fifth annual Stuff the Truck 2025 fundraiser.

Join us on Tuesday, December 2nd, between 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Craft'd in Downtown Cedar Rapids to 'stuff the truck' with requested basic living supplies to support young people establishing independence after foster care.

The suitcases contain basic necessities for independent living - perhaps items that a family member or loved one helped you get for your first apartment. Each suitcase is valued at approximately $700.

Each donation supports the Apartment in a Suitcase program and transforms the life of a young person in our community.

We are thrilled to partner with Corda Credit Union and Junior League of Cedar Rapids to give our AMP kitchen a major remodel! This kitchen is located in our Headquarters building in Cedar Rapids and is a space for community volunteers to cook a meal for youth attending the twice-monthly AMP meetings. AMP is a statewide youth council for young people who have had an out-of-home placement such as foster care. We are excited to have a brand-new kitchen to make these meals happen!

Corda Credit Union is proud to contribute $10,000 toward the renovation of the shared kitchen used by the Junior League of Cedar Rapids and Foundation 2 Crisis Services in downtown Cedar Rapids. The renovated kitchen will provide a welcoming space where foster youth and volunteers can cook, practice life-skills, and form meaningful relationships.
