It seems our city is in need of a healing. There are too many 319 pages were ladies need or want to post pictures of men who may or may not be cheating. Too many folks walking around talking about how terrible Cedar Ratchet's is. Too many of you out here still beefing at 30, 40, 50 years old. Isn't this our city? Aren't you ratchet then if you live here? Of all the places many of us have lived in this crazy world, many keep coming back. Why? Cedar Rapids is in fact a great place to live, with good (if crazy) people, culture, acceptance, and an opportunity to have fun, grow, raise a family, or make a life as a single adult if that's the life you pick for yourself. If you are here, you found this page for a reason. It is time to take back our city. Time to rise above and be thankful for all that this town has to offer. Time to come together as people to change even our own perception of what life in Cedar Rapids means. You all chose to live here - why do you stay if you feel that it is a RATCHET place to live? Responses welcomed and encouraged. Maybe even more importantly, those of you here who no longer physically live in Cedar Rapids, how much do you miss it? Where do you tell people in your new town you are from, honestly?
