On Indigenous Peoples Day my heart is full. I have been blessed to have entered into a world that profoundly altered my life. The lodge pictured was my home for 10
days. I was honored when able to partake in a vision quest. I climbed to the top of a butte and while I wont speak of that process, it is the reason I continue to be a bridge. A bridge of learning and teaching with reverence the importance of honoring all Indigenous tribes. Plenty Coup also pictured was the last Chief of the Crow Tribe. Pretty Shield was a known medicine women. I have read over 46 books on the tribe and both pictured have touched my heart.
Please learn, honor and support with deep reverence. The medicine of our Earth depends on it! No need to exploit - simply learn and understand from your heart.

I spent Sunday afternoon at Starlight Yoga in Lisbon. The energy was spectacular with the equinox and solar eclipse. Sarah has created a special cocoon of warmth, softness and an energy that welcomes you to another world.

In the world of indigenous practices the West direction is host to a variety conceptual beliefs. When taking classes or programs in the field of medicine arts (shamanism) walking with the directions of the Earth is part of daily life. The West is like an old grandfather with wisdom beyond his years. I have been sitting in the west for a few weeks now. This is laughable to many as the West is sometimes the most challenging place to be. It is a place of many ideas for many people. For me it is the place that I'm sent to year after year for brief periods of time for deep transformation. I have honored the West by aligning with its core energies and integrating its lessons into everyday life for many years. I have been asked by many to help with their daily walk through the circle of the directions and have decided to offer a 4 part mini retreat series called Walking with the Directions beginning in January of 2026. How do we actually use the directions here in Iowa and where you live. What ceremonies work for each direction, and how does a medicine wheel work? You will practice each directions prayer, gain insight on the direction, practice ceremony, learn where to sit in a medicine wheel as you ask for help and prayer ( and more). Each date will represent a direction and will be shared in the way I was taught by my Native friends. It is fitting to begin with the new calender year so the 1st session on the West is January 17th, 2026 at Terramuse Wellness Sanctuary (Iowa). Beginning at 10:00am on Saturday the 17th and ending at 3:00pm Sunday the 18th.
The fee is $189 per direction and includes all supplies. Add $85 if you plan to stay overnight. DM me if you're interested. A deposit of $50 is needed to hold your place. 12 spaces available.
2nd session (East) is April 18th
3rd session (South) is July 11th
4th session (North) is October 10th
(This is also a part of a 3 day, 2 night retreat. More info on that soon)
You do not need to come to all of these but at least two is best.

Hanging out with Greta at our last training! She is a gifted soul and a stellar teacher.
She will be back in June for Part 1 of an amazing program in the world of shamanism with teachings that she and two other gifted teachers put together. We are blessed to have them back to Iowa💫 The program follows a direct Incan lineage creating strong medicine for aiding in deep healing for ourselves and others.
