✨ January Special ✨
60 minute lymphatic drainage session for $77

Lymphatic drainage supports your body’s natural detox and immune systems by helping move excess fluid, inflammation, and waste out of the tissues.

After the holidays and during cold winter months, lymph flow can slow due to stress, rich foods, less movement, and lower circulation. This can show up as puffiness, fatigue, brain fog, or feeling heavy and stuck.

Unlike massage, which focuses on muscles, lymphatic work supports the system that allows your body to actually clear and reset. When lymph is moving, inflammation decreases, the nervous system settles, and healing happens more efficiently.

Many people leave feeling lighter, clearer, and deeply relaxed.

✨ Perfect for a January reset ✨

Starting January 1st, I’ll be moving out of the shared space at Toula Yoga and will be working out of my home. This is a big next step for me. It’s exciting, nerve wracking, but really aligned. I also want to be upfront that I have several dogs and cats. I’ll keep the space, especially the room I’m using, as clean and clear as I can, but animals are animals and there will be some hair, noise, and their energy moving around. If that doesn’t work for you because of allergies or comfort level, I completely understand.

I do ask that current clients don’t share my home address with anyone. If you want to refer someone, just send them to me directly and I’ll take care of everything. I still welcome and appreciate referrals so much. As I step into this new chapter, I’m reminded of why I do this work in the first place. I’m here to be a tool, a guide, a resource for you. Whether that’s continuing to work with you or helping point you toward the next person who aligns with where you’re going. I’m grateful for everyone who has trusted me with their healing. Here’s to the next era. 🤍

December Special 🎄☃️❄️

60 minutes of Lymphatic Drainage/Craniosacral Therapy for $77

Schedule online or reach out directly to schedule

As we head into winter and the holiday season the body and mind start to hold onto more as we move less. The colder months slow everything down and the holidays add this mix of excitement, overstimulation, heavier foods, and a lot more emotional energy floating around. Even when it is all good things, our systems can get overwhelmed fast. This is why Lymphatic Drainage and Craniosacral Therapy are important right now. These modalities can be a game changer for getting through this season.

Our bodies are constantly communicating with us. We just do not always speak the language. Some signs you might need lymphatic support are feeling puffy or swollen, low energy, headaches, skin issues, gut discomfort, brain fog, or feeling like everything inside is moving a little sluggish. With craniosacral work, your body often lets you know through tension you cannot stretch out, trouble sleeping, feeling disconnected from yourself, overwhelm, anxiety, emotional heaviness, or that deep sense of being stuck in your head.

These therapies help in the most gentle and powerful ways. Lymphatic work helps move out what your body no longer needs so you can feel lighter, clearer, and less inflamed. Craniosacral therapy calms your nervous system, helps release old tension patterns, softens the mind, and creates more space inside your body to breathe and settle.

Winter can feel so much easier when your system is regulated and supported. If you have been feeling off, tired, inflamed, overstimulated, or just not like yourself, this might be your body asking for a reset.

Over the years I’ve been incredibly grateful for the journey massage has taken me on and for the trust and support of my wonderful clients. This work has shaped me in more ways than I can count. That said, I’ve been experiencing some personal challenges with my own body, and it’s become clear that I need to take a step back from the physical demands of massage at this time. In order to honor my body and my wellbeing, I’ll be scaling back my massage practice. I’ll be continuing to see a smaller number of regular clients, but not taking on new massage clients.

As I shift directions I’m excited to open space for new clients in the following modalities:
🌿 Myofascial Lymphatic Drainage
🌿 Craniosacral Therapy
🌿 Sound Healing- Private and Group
🌿 Alternative Energy Medicine
🌿 Purium Superfoods Consultations & Guidance

💧 Why Lymphatic Drainage Helps People with Autoimmune Conditions

Autoimmune conditions are complex — the body mistakenly attacks its own cells, leading to chronic inflammation, pain, and fatigue. Yet, emerging science shows one key system often overlooked in autoimmune recovery: the lymphatic system — the body’s internal detox and immune transport highway.

🌿 The Lymphatic System: Your Inner Cleansing Network

The lymphatic system moves a clear fluid called lymph through a vast network of vessels and nodes. It collects toxins, metabolic waste, and inflammatory by-products from tissues — and delivers them to detox organs like the liver and kidneys for removal.

When this flow becomes sluggish due to stress, infection, trauma, or inflammation, toxins build up and immune cells become trapped in “traffic jams.” For those with autoimmune conditions, this stagnation amplifies inflammation and immune dysregulation.

⚡ How Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Helps

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, rhythmic therapy that stimulates the natural movement of lymph fluid. Research shows it can:
1️⃣ Reduce inflammation: By mobilising lymph flow, excess cytokines and inflammatory mediators are cleared from tissues faster.
2️⃣ Support immune regulation: The lymphatic system houses a large part of the immune system. Improved flow enhances immune surveillance and balance.
3️⃣ Decrease pain and swelling: By reducing fluid congestion and pressure in inflamed tissues, MLD helps relieve pain, stiffness, and edema.
4️⃣ Enhance detoxification: MLD encourages the liver, kidneys, and colon to excrete accumulated waste products more efficiently.
5️⃣ Soothe the nervous system: The slow, rhythmic nature of MLD activates the parasympathetic (“rest-and-digest”) response, easing autoimmune flares triggered by stress.

🌸 The Gut–Lymph–Immune Connection

About 70% of the immune system lies within the gut-associated lymphoid tissue (GALT). A sluggish lymph system around the intestines can trap inflammatory molecules, contributing to “leaky gut” and ongoing immune activation. Regular lymph drainage supports intestinal lymph flow (the lacteals), which assists in nutrient absorption and immune modulation — vital for conditions like Hashimoto’s, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Lupus.

🌞 Beyond Detox: Cellular Communication and Healing

Healthy lymph flow is not only about detoxing — it’s about cellular communication. Every cell relies on the lymphatic network to receive nutrients and remove waste. When flow improves, tissues oxygenate better, mitochondria function more efficiently, and overall energy levels rise.

In autoimmune disease, where cellular metabolism is impaired, MLD becomes a way to restore biological rhythm — helping the body shift from chronic inflammation into healing mode.

🌿 Integrating Lymphatic Therapy

Lymphatic Drainage is not a cure for autoimmune disease, but it is a powerful supportive therapy when combined with anti-inflammatory nutrition, proper hydration, stress reduction, and restorative movement. Many patients report reduced pain, improved sleep, and a lighter, calmer feeling after each session — because when lymph flows, healing follows.

💧“Why Am I Always Bloated?” The Hidden Role of Your Lymphatic System 💧

This article is for informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise, or health regimen.

If you’ve ever felt like your body is holding onto fluid — despite eating healthy, exercising, or trying every “debloat” hack out there — there’s a silent system that could be crying for help:

👉 Your Lymphatic System.

Often forgotten in mainstream health conversations, the lymphatic system is actually a critical player in fluid balance, immune regulation, and detoxification. When it’s not working efficiently, the result can be frustrating: bloating, swelling, puffiness, and fatigue.

Let’s break it down. 👇

🧬 What Is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is a vast network of vessels, nodes, and organs (like the spleen and thymus) that transports lymph fluid — a clear, protein-rich fluid that helps eliminate waste, toxins, excess water, and immune debris from the tissues.

It serves 3 main purposes:
1. Fluid drainage (from tissues back into the bloodstream)
2. Immune surveillance (via lymph nodes and white blood cells)
3. Fat absorption (via lacteals in the gut)

But unlike the heart, the lymphatic system has no central pump — it relies on your movement, breath, and hydration to function.

💡 Why Does Lymphatic Stagnation Cause Bloating?

When lymph flow is impaired — due to inflammation, inactivity, digestive issues, or toxicity — fluid can accumulate in your tissues. This is called interstitial edema and is one of the primary drivers of:

✅ Puffy eyes in the morning
✅ Swollen ankles by evening
✅ Bloated belly throughout the day
✅ Tight, uncomfortable skin or clothes

🔬 Research Insight:

Studies show that impaired lymphatic function can lead to localized and systemic fluid retention, especially in people with inflammatory or metabolic conditions.

Reference: Zawieja, D.C. (2009). Lymphatic system: “Lymphatic function and fluid homeostasis.” Lymphatic Research and Biology, 7(4), 183–187. doi:10.1089/lrb.2009.0007

🔥 Inflammation Makes Things Worse

Inflammation thickens the consistency of lymph fluid and causes fibrosis (stiffening) of lymph vessels. This further reduces drainage and encourages fluid to remain trapped under the skin — especially in the belly and legs.

“Inflammatory states, such as obesity or chronic infection, are associated with impaired lymph transport and vessel dysfunction.”
Reference: Kataru, R.P. et al. (2009). “Obesity-induced lymphatic dysfunction.” PNAS, 108(46), 18232–18237.

🤰 Hormones, Gut Health & Lymph

Estrogen dominance, poor liver function, leaky gut, and even food intolerances can place a burden on the hepatic-liver-lymph connection, leading to:

• Visceral bloating
• Fluid retention after meals
• Lymphatic overload in the abdominal and pelvic areas

The gut and lymph system are intricately connected. Approximately 70% of the lymph is found around the intestines (GALT: gut-associated lymphoid tissue).

✅ How to Naturally Support Your Lymphatic Flow

Here are proven ways to help your lymphatic system drain, detox, and deflate fluid retention:

1. Move Your Body Gently

Walking, yoga, rebounding, and stretching are essential. Movement “pumps” lymph upward — especially from the legs.

2. Diaphragmatic Breathing

Deep belly breathing helps create negative pressure in the chest cavity, drawing lymph fluid into the thoracic duct for drainage.

3. Dry Brushing

This simple technique stimulates superficial lymph flow and awakens stagnant areas — especially near lymph clusters (underarms, neck, groin).

4. Stay Hydrated with Electrolytes

Dehydration thickens lymph fluid. Aim for clean water + minerals to maintain optimal lymph viscosity.

5. Liver & Gut Support

Use bitters, digestive enzymes, or herbal support (like milk thistle) to assist the liver, which filters lymph fluid. Probiotics and gut healing foods reduce inflammatory burden.

6. Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

This specialized therapy uses gentle, rhythmic massage to encourage natural lymph drainage and reduce swelling and stagnation.

🧠 Final Thought: It’s Not “Just Bloat”

What we often dismiss as “just bloat” or “water weight” could actually be a deeper signal from your body that your lymphatic system needs attention. With the right daily strategies, you can support this system and reclaim your comfort, clarity, and vitality.

Who and what is Electra Healing?🌌

Electra Healing was born from a wild and winding soul path I’ve been walking for the last 7 years. One filled with light, surrender, deep remembering, and so many incredible teachers.

It all began when I stumbled upon this radiant being, Melissa Brown. She became my first regular Massage Therapist, and later, my Reiki Master Teacher. Through her, I received Reiki I, II, and Master in the Usui lineage. Eventually, I went on to complete Master Teacher training through another teacher and that’s when the path really started to open up. My curiosity led me into the world of plants, plant medicine, and holistic healing. Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the language of the body started to speak to me. Something deeper was calling. Then one morning, out of nowhere, I woke up and spontaneously signed up for massage therapy school at Carlson College. I had no plan. Still confused. But something inside me said, “Go.” So I did. I struggled through it, but I made it through and I came out more grounded and more myself than before.

After graduating I spent over a year working as an independent contractor at Salveo. That space introduced me to some incredible humans and opened me up to so much more…like Cranial Sacral Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Acupuncture, and yoga. It’s also where I really began diving into energetic anatomy. I became fascinated by the meridians and the flow of energy in the body. Over time, I developed a really strong intuitive skill for tracing those lines and sensing when something was off. It’s now one of the most powerful parts of my work. After about a year, I felt pulled to shift again and this time it led me to Toula Yoga, a space full of light and like-minded souls. Once I arrived at Toula, I knew it was time. I started yoga teacher training and became a full time yogi. That was a huge shift for me, one that brought even more embodiment into my healing journey.

✨It was also the birth of Electra Healing✨

The name came from the stars..literally. Electra is one of the Seven Sisters in the Pleiadian constellation, a place I’ve always felt deeply connected to. That is my home base. The energy of that name electric, magnetic, powerful, mirrors the essence of what I offer in this work. So Electra Healing felt right. It is me. Now, over a year in, Electra Healing is thriving. I’ve continued training in Myofascial Lymphatic Drainage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, energy modalities, and Sound Healing. I’ve also studied Transcendental Meditation, Astrology, Human Design, and so much more. This path has been filled with deep dives into all kinds of healing, spiritual work, and embodiment practices that have shaped how I show up and serve.

I’m about to begin what feels like the most powerful initiation yet: an Integrated Shamanic Medicine Training.

I can feel my soul answering the call of what it came here to do and I’m endlessly grateful to walk this path and share it with all of you.
