I AM NOT RETIRING
Well not completely. Several things have or will be changing for me. As of the first of 2025 I no longer accept payment from your insurance company. For most people this hasn’t changed anything. Many of your Insurance Companies have forced me to accept half of what I charge. Many companies are now requiring preauthorization for care or payment even if I am only going to see you for one visit. By dropping all insurance contracts it relieves me of the burden of fighting with your Insurance to be paid. It also allows me to charge everyone the same amount and be paid the same amount for my standard service. Most of what I do is not technically defined as Chiropractic. The techniques that I have developed and use on almost every patient include: Acupuncture Meridian Balancing, Fascia Adhesion Release Technique, Reflex Reset, Rapid Environmental Sensitivity Elimination Technique, Vagus Nerve Balancing, ETC. It has always been my goal to work myself out of a job. I want everyone to be so well that they don’t need my services. That is why I have continued to learn and develop new techniques to speed your recovery.
I am now seeing so few patients in a week that I am no longer able to afford this office space or pay myself half of what I was just a year ago. My lease for this office ends on April 30. I will be moving to a shared office space in May. I don’t know exactly where that will be. I will let you know. I will also be working fewer hours. It is also my goal to travel some. In thirty years I have only twice taken two weeks vacation in one year. One of those was two consecutive weeks of seminars for continuing education.
For years I have been told by patients that I can’t retire until they die. I’m afraid that I’m not going to be able to retire until I die. My retirement funds have dropped dramatically since the first of the year and I’m afraid that Social Security may killed off before I die. I love helping to relieve your aches and pains. I also love seeing and talking to people. If I retire completely that I would probably turn into Jabba the Hutt within six months. So please save me from myself and continue letting me do the best that I can to make you the best that you can.
Sincerely
Dr. Douglas A. Dennis
