"I can’t express how much the gift touched my heart. It brought a little bit of light to our lives during this difficult time!"

These are the words of Kristin, the daughter of a patient at the Community Cancer Center. Through our Family Care Program, we were able to provide a children's book and matching puppy plush toy for Kristin's son, Oliver.

The Family Care Program, which is funded by a grant from the Aiming for a Cure Foundation, was established to provide extra support for cancer patients with young children or grandchildren, because cancer affects the whole family. In addition to gifts like these, the Family Care Program provides education and resources, as well as special events for families throughout the year.

Congratulations to Ann on completing her radiation treatment today! Ann's husband, Tom, who was treated in our radiation center in 2019, was there to celebrate with her and has supported her throughout her cancer journey as she did for him seven years ago!
