The Cancer Services division rang in the holidays with our annual team member holiday party! The festivities included our manager Matt Schmitz once again being voted the holiday baking champion, a visit from UnityPoint Health - Cedar Rapids President Casey Greene and VP of Operations Mark Willis, and Healing Energy Worker Marion Patterson wrapping up the party with a reading of the poem "The Work of Christmas" by Howard Thurman. A great time was had by all!

Thank you to Guys & Gals Who Give of Linn County for selecting the Community Cancer Center to receive its Q3 impact donations! In total, they donated $2,100 to support local cancer patients!

We recently teamed up with Rock Valley Physical Therapy to give back to our community and adopt a family in need. Our teams donated household essentials, Christmas presents and more, to help make a family's holiday season a little brighter 🎄

A big thank you to our community partner Team Breast Friends for their continued support! They recently stopped by to present this check for $10,000 to benefit our patients. Over the past eight years, they've donated over $85,000!

Our team recently provided a large donation of coats and other winter essentials to the UnityPoint Health - Cedar Rapids coat drive. The coats and other items were distributed to those in need as the winter weather gets colder!

Bill Brayton of Lisbon smoked a pack of ci******es a day for 40 years. After he stopped smoking, his primary care provider encouraged him to schedule a Lung Check screening—a recommendation Bill now says helped save his life.

A Lung Check screening at the Nassif Community Cancer Center caught Bill Brayton's lung cancer in an earlier, more treatable stage.
