As we are “traveling” Mexico for the month of May, we hosted a very special party we titled “Fiesta del Sol” in celebration of the sun and the upcoming Summer season! 🌞 We were able to sample some Mexican party staples including authentic tamales, mini chicken tacos and homemade strawberry tres leches cake! 🫔🌮🍰

But the true star of this party, was our piñata designed, decorated and filled by our very own residents the days leading up to our big celebration! 🪅 And just look at all those smiles!!! 🤩 As always, we are so very grateful to host these special events for our community and thank all of our Garnett Place family and friends who took the time to join us! 🤗

Intergenerational activities are so good for the soul! 🌸😌 Last week, we were so fortunate to start the week off by being graced with the talent of the Kindergarten singers from Isaac Newton Christian Academy! We then ended the week with our now annual Spring Fling Mixer with students from Kennedy High School! 💖

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we turned our community into an art museum filled with our residents’ and staff’s greatest masterpieces!!! 🎨🖼️ We are so grateful for events like this where the entire community gets involved and ready to show off about ourselves and all that we have to offer! We love being able to open our doors to you all as much as possible!! 🤗🥰

In honor of Earth Day yesterday and tomorrow’s Arbor Day, we planted five new trees around our community and celebrated with a very special social! Our team provided the cutest nature-inspired treats including Ants on a Log, Earth Cookies and Dirt Cake! 🌱

Leading up to this big day, our community and family members worked together to clean up our outdoor spaces, added new recycling areas throughout the community and we swapped our disposable plastic products for recyclable or compostable ones! Here’s to continuing to work together one step at a time for a brighter tomorrow! 🌎🫶🏼
