Well who do we have here? 👀 Everyone meet Quinn!

Ever since high school psychology, I have had a strong interest in therapy and helping others toward healthy and fulfilling lives. In order to pursue this, I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa, with a minor in Human Relations. This desire only grew as I sought out professional experiences in the field of mental health. These provided me opportunities to work with individuals at both inpatient and outpatient levels of care. While working with individuals in these different settings, the importance that our relationships have, as well as their impact on an individual’s mental health, became apparent to me. This ultimately led me to continue my education at Mount Mercy’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program.

I strongly believe that one of the most important aspects in the process of change is developing safe emotional connections, both within relationships and within the self. In order to achieve this, I hope to bring humor and sincerity into the therapy space, providing clients with a welcoming environment in which they feel safe to be who they are. I strongly believe in collaboration between the therapist and client, working together throughout the therapy process in order to achieve the client’s goals. In my free time, I like to spend time exercising, reading, and keeping up with new movies or shows. During the summers when the weather is nice, I enjoy spending time out in nature, either going for a walk or being out on a lake paddle boarding. When I get the chance, I also love to travel, taking as many opportunities as I can to have new experiences.
