🏃‍♀️❄️ A New Season of Wellness Begins 🍃🧘‍♀️

Our active residents enjoyed an outing to the Rockwell Recreation Center; it was the perfect way to stay active, energized and connected as the colder months roll in. 💙

🏃‍♂️ We walked the track, shared conversations and even reconnected with old friends— moments that made wellness feel both joyful and meaningful.

Keystone is grateful for our partnership with Rockwell and excited for many more movement-filled days ahead! 🌟

We spent a night at the iconic Paramount Theatre - Cedar Rapids , enjoying a lively performance filled with classic songs, charming stories and spirited dancing.

🎻💚 The joyful music echoed through the theater as the Irish dancers stunned us with their rhythm and beauty.✨

✨Holiday Magic 🎄

We visited The Gazette Festival of Trees , and this year our residents proudly showcased a 🇺🇸 patriotic-themed tree in honor of our veterans. ❤️🤍💙

Our vibrant Residents enjoyed strolling through the beautifully decorated trees and wreaths during Senior Day.

🎄 All trees were silently auctioned, with proceeds going to local charities—spreading cheer far beyond the holiday season. 🎁✨

🐾 Homemade Treats & Heartfelt Tails 🦴🐶

🐶💚 Our residents whipped up 3-ingredient oatmeal and applesauce dog treats — perfect for sensitive stomachs and busy pet parents alike!

🦴 We created these wholesome snacks to deliver to the Cedar Valley Humane Society 🐕 where everyone got to meet some of the adorable animals waiting for their forever homes.

It was a paws-itively heartwarming day for our loved residents! 💞

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes This Veterans Day 🎖️

Yesterday, we paused to honor and remember the brave individuals who have served our country with courage and dedication. ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 Their sacrifices have safeguarded the freedoms we enjoy every day, and for that, we are deeply grateful. 🙏

Thank you to Don Dixson from Freedom Stitchers of Iowa for presenting a quilt of valor to our Veteran resident Verne J! Verne is a valor recipient who served as a Corporal in the Korean War in the 1950’s, stationed 25 miles behind the front/fighting line. 🎖️🏅 He received the good conduct medal and overseas medal.

👮‍♂️ Cedar Rapids Police Department night watch joined us in Displaying of Flags, Presenting the Colors and playing Taps. We watched a slideshow together, all veterans got a poppy pin and our lovely resident Audrey played God Bless America and The National Anthem for us. 🎼🎶💗🎖️

We want to shoutout our amazing Senior Living Counselor, Tricia, for her 10-Year Keystone Work Anniversary! 🥳

🌟 Her fun, spunky personality and welcoming spirit make everyone feel right at home. 🏡 She has been an invaluable addition to the Keystone team!

Tricia shared, “I feel so honored and blessed to work with all our Keystone family—staff, residents and their families.”

Outside of work, she loves 🎾 pickleball,🚶‍♀️walks and time with loved ones.💖

🌄 On Top of The Town! 🚌💨

We took an adventurous afternoon bus ride to the top of Mount Trashmore recently to visit this local landmark.

🌬️🌆 Once a landfill filled with 6 million tons of garbage, this incredible site has been transformed into a scenic recreation area — and it’s now the highest point in Linn County!

🏞️ Some of us stayed cozy on the bus while others braved the wind and headed to the top taking in breathtaking views of downtown Cedar Rapids. 💙

The season of giving is here and our community is proud to once again support Toys for Tots - Linn County/Cedar Rapids! 🎄✨

🪀🧸 Both of our buildings are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0–14 to help bring joy to families who may struggle this holiday season.

🎁Drop-offs can be made in the designated boxes in either activity room, NOW through December 4th.

Please note — no clothes, food or used items; but gifts like puzzles, books, family games, wrapping paper, tape or gift bags are all wonderful ideas! 📚🧩
