Keystone proudly took part in a local Valentines for Veterans program, where our incredible residents created thoughtful, handmade cards for veterans in the hospital and those without family. 💌✨

✂️🎨 Using vintage stickers, ribbons, stamps, glitter, heart-shaped doilies and carefully chosen paper, we made small but meaningful gestures of gratitude; crafted with care. ❤️

🧩💖 Love, One Piece at a Time 💖🧩

Our “Love You to Pieces” craft brought creativity and connection together as residents transformed old puzzles into colorful works of art. 🎨❤️

💌✨ Each piece was painted then glued onto a cardboard heart, creating a wonderful Valentine keepsake.

These beautiful creations are now proudly displayed on our doors. 🥰

Dale is our newest resident at Keystone!

Born on a farm in Winneshiek County, Iowa, 🚜 Dale’s journey includes proudly serving in the Army from 1954–1956 🇺🇸 and spending 32 years as an engineer at Collins Radio. 🛠️

He is a father to two, grandpa to five AND a great-grandpa! 💙

🔩🪵 His hobbies include woodworking, metalworking, 🎣🦌 hunting and fishing as well as a good card game. 🃏

❄️🍷 Celebrating our AMAZING Keystone Family 🍷❄️

We hosted a Winter Wonderland Happy Hour to celebrate our residents and the generous gift they donated to support staff in 2025. 💙❄️

Our team shared heartfelt words of appreciation, recognizing this thoughtful contribution and how much our amazing residents mean to us.

We enjoyed a delicious spread curated by our kitchen team - ⛄snowman cheese balls, 🍿 popcorn in multiple flavors, 🥕 meatballs and veggies. We also served a special blue-themed drink along with beer, wine and pop. 🍷🍺🥤

🐾💖 Giving Back, One Blanket at a Time 💖🐾

At Keystone, it’s important to us and our residents to give back to the greater community we love so much. 💛

🧵🪡 This month, residents came together to make tie blankets for a local animal shelter. 🐶 We had recently sent them homemade dog treats as well.

Each month we will continue to support and uplift our community, one small gesture at a time. 🥰

This week, we proudly celebrated our incredible Life Enrichment Team—the people who go above and beyond every single day for the residents and families at Keystone Cedars and Place. ❤️

🎨🎶 We are so appreciative of the care, creativity and heart they bring into our community. To show our gratitude, the team was treated to 🍽️ lunch, 🌸 flowers, special matching bracelets 💕 and recognition throughout the building.

Led by Shawna & Haley, and supported by an amazing team—Diane, Lisa, Mayra, Sue, Jessie and Kylie— these ladies put residents first, listen closely to their wants and needs and work hard to make meaningful moments happen.

🍏✨ A Glass Full of Green Goodness ✨🍏

🥬✨ We celebrated National Green Juicing Day by blending our own refreshing combinations of green fruits and veggies.

🍏🥑🌿 Honeydew, green apples, kale, spinach, avocado, lime and mint came together for a delicious boost of vitamins and minerals for our vibrant residents. 💚

We also learned about the nutritional benefits of honeydew melon and avocados—healthy never tasted so good! 😋✨

On a perfectly chilly day, creativity took center stage as we spent the afternoon crafting beautifully unique beaded snowflakes. ✨🎨

We celebrated an incredible milestone for an extraordinary woman last week. Happy 60th birthday to our wonderful Executive Director, Lynn! 🎂

🎈 Her day was filled with surprises - endless flower deliveries, 🌸 personalized shirts featuring her smiling face, 😄👕 and a heartfelt party complete with cake.

🎉 PLUS we transformed her office with special decorations to show appreciation for how amazing she is! 💖

✈️🌍 Ready for a DELICIOUS Adventure 🌍✈️

📦New in 2026 we are snacking around the world by visiting a different country each month; passports included! 🛂✨

Our very first flight landed in the United Kingdom. 🇬🇧💂‍♂️ We sampled 10 authentic English snacks like pickled onion chips, shortbread cookies and banana toffee. 😋🍪

Everyone learned fun facts, rated each snack and took notes on favorites (and not-so-favorites!). A special thank-you to our wonderful residents Pat and Geoff, origionally from England, for sharing their personal favorites from living in the UK.

🍂📖 ✨ Old Pages Find New Purpose✨ 📖🍂

🎨💛 Using old books, magazines, poetry, calendars and even sheet music, everyone designed one-of-a-kind wreaths inspired by whatever caught their eye—beautiful scenery, flowers and meaningful words. 🌸

📚 From rolling paper into cones to stapling and hot gluing the transformation was wonderful to watch. ✨

A huge shout-out to Karen, a volunteer and friend of a Keystone Place, who learned this craft at a local library and generously shared it with our beloved residents. 💙👏
