Nicole has been a dedicated Med-Aide and Caregiver at our community for over two years, and she continues to go above and beyond every single day. From multitasking her many responsibilities, to picking up extra shifts, joining in on activities, and stepping in wherever she’s needed — Nicole is always there with heart and commitment.

Her compassion for our residents shines through in everything she does, and we are incredibly grateful for her hard work and dedication.

🍪🍎 Happy Thanksgiving Week! 🍎🍪

Our community has been busy in the kitchen baking up all kinds of festive treats! Today we made sugar cookies topped with frosting, caramel apples, and even a few classic turkey-shaped cookies.

🦃 We’re a bunch of Wild Turkeys today! 🦃

Happy Friday, friends! We whipped up the cutest turkey brownies and sipped warm cider for a cozy afternoon treat. With box brownies, chocolate icing, and a few M&M’s, this recipe couldn’t be easier — and our residents and team agreed they turned out adorable!

🦃 Thanksgiving Luncheon & Family Tradition 🦃

We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving Luncheon with our residents and their families! This was our biggest event yet, and everything went so smoothly. Our hearts were full seeing the community come together and our dining room filled with joy, connection, and holiday spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Dining Services team and all of our staff who helped make this cherished Family Tradition so special. 🧡

🎉 Happy 5-Year Anniversary, Brett! 🎉

Brett, our amazing Maintenance Director, is not only a key part of our team—he’s also our longest-standing employee here at CountryHouse Residence Cedar Rapids! On 11/18, we celebrated his incredible 5 years of dedication, hard work, and consistently going above and beyond for both staff and residents.

From keeping our building running smoothly to sharing his vast knowledge, handyman skills, and expertise in fire, weather, vehicle, and community safety—Brett truly does it all. We are so grateful for everything he does. Thank you, Brett, for making a difference every single day! 💕🎉

❤️Moments of Joy❤️

From spa and manicures, musical entertainment, movie and popcorn 🍿 to Happy Hour and Pie Wednesday 🥧 and also puzzles 🧩 on the patio we are busy as a bee 🐝!

The best of it all is the meaningful relationships and connections with our residents! Watching them form friendships is so rewarding and heartwarming. Cheers to a great weekend and having the best of friends!

On Veterans Day, we paused to honor the brave men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice, and bravery to protecting our freedoms reminds us of the true meaning of service.

We honored our residents and their families on this Veterans Day. We hosted a breakfast social with donuts, cookie cake, and Armed Force trivia. Best of all Dale March and the Cedar Rapids Orchestra performed beautiful patriotic music 🎶 that touched all of us❤️🤍💙

Thank you to each of you for your service and sacrifice! 🇺🇸

We’re getting ready for Pie Wednesday with a little creative “baking”! Residents put on their crafting hats, grabbed their scissors ✂️ and hot glue, and made the most delicious-looking cardboard pies you’ve ever seen — cherry 🍒, blueberry 🫐, lemon 🍋, and of course, pumpkin 🎃!

There were plenty of laughs about how the crust might taste just a little too crunchy. 😆

COUNTRYHOUSE RESIDENCE got our FIRST THUMBS UP upon entry into their driveway. Unexpectedly, we found a pretty, inviting building that did NOT look like an “institutional” facility, but like an “up to date” cozy apartment complex! 🍩 National Donut Day 🍩

We celebrated National Donut Day by visited one of our favorite places: Donutland! The residents loved the variety of donuts and a crowd favorite was Cherry 🍒 Donutlands Christmas tree 🌲 was super cute and festive! A sweet treat was the perfect way to spend our afternoon!

We are making the most of the warmer days and crafting on the patio! Our residents made a thankful tree to prepare for this Thanksgiving season. After completed we asked residents what they are most thankful for; here are a few responses:
