Empowerment isn’t about “fixing” someone. It’s about helping them recognize their own
strength.

Therapy doesn’t hand you power; it helps you see the power you already have 🩵

We invite you to take a moment to reflect before the new year begins.

These prompts are invitations to notice,
appreciate, and look back in order to look forward to the new year ✨️

Tuning inward is a powerful way to regulate. Interoceptive awareness helps you notice what’s
happening inside - like your heartbeat, muscle tension, or hunger cues - so you can respond
with care instead of overwhelm.

When you listen to your body’s signals, you create space for grounding and self-compassion.

Pause. Notice. Nurture.

Agency is the ability to act on your own behalf. To recognize that your choices, your voice, and
your direction in life matters.

Therapy doesn’t create agency.
It helps you remember it, strengthen it, and use it with intention 🩵

G.L.A.D. Skill:
A simple way to slow down and notice the present… one moment, one day at a time.

Try it tonight before bed or as part of your journaling routine.

The start of the holiday season is here, and it’s easy to get caught up in our busy schedules.

This week, we’re pausing to notice the big and small moments we’re grateful for.

Learn what gratitude is and why it’s a helpful habit to start building that you can carry with you
beyond the holidays too.

What’s one thing you’re grateful for today?

Creative practices are powerful, having numerous mental, emotional, physical, and even
spiritual benefits!

Engaging in a creative practice does not have to mean drawing, painting, dancing, singing,
writing, etc. Although, it can if those practices interest you! Joining a community class is a great
way to get started with these practices and a wonderful way to meet new people who have
similar interests as you.

Creativity can also be found in everyday actions. How you style your hair or wardrobe. How you
arrange the food on your plate or organize your sock drawer. The way you notice the light flicker
and glow in the autumn leaves. The list is infinite and can be personal to your unique interests.

As art therapists, we know deeply how healing creativity can be, and we invite you to look for
ways you can incorporate a creative practice into your daily life and enhance your wellbeing.

Let us know some of your creative practices. Extra points for unconventional (creative) ideas!

In this final part of our self-care series, we’re exploring the barriers that can make it hard to care for ourselves.

Sometimes, the most meaningful acts of self-care are the simple ones: listening to what your
mind and body need, honoring your limits, and choosing what truly sustains you.

If self-care feels difficult or you’re unsure where to begin, therapy can help. At Blue Pines Counseling, we can explore what’s getting in the way of caring for yourself and help you build habits that support your mind, body, and overall well-being.

Deepen Your Healing with Intensive Integration Sessions

Some chapters of your story need more time, more space, and more tenderness. That’s exactly
what our Intensive Therapy Sessions are for.

Whether you’re working through complex trauma, feeling stuck in patterns that won’t shift,
longing to reconnect with parts of you that feel fragmented, or preparing for or recovering from a
major life transition, these longer-format sessions (90 min – 2 hrs) give you room to slow down,
integrate, process, and transform in a supportive and lasting way.

We bring together art therapy, somatic practices, and trauma-informed techniques personalized
to your pace, your story, and your inner world.
If you’ve ever felt like you needed “just a little more time” in session to go deeper, this is your
invitation to step into that space 💙
