~Private-pay caseload with EAP contract to supplement referrals
~Shared, thoughtfully designed office spaces
~Supportive, collaborative environment with a holistic and integrative focus
~Opportunities to develop and lead workshops, groups, or niche services
~Freedom to cultivate additional income streams within or alongside your clinical work

Ideal Candidate

~Interested in holistic, integrative, or mind-body approaches
~Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
~Open to building a private-pay caseload
~Interested in creative or entrepreneurial aspects of practice (groups, workshops, specialty services)

Who This Is Great For
~Parents or caregivers seeking a flexible schedule
~Therapists transitioning into or expanding private practice
~Clinicians wanting to diversify their income streams and professional offerings
~Providers looking for a supportive space without the constraints of traditional employment

Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor role with competitive fee splits (65/35-70/30) based on services provided.

If you’ve ever tried to “calm down” and it didn’t work…

Or pushed yourself to be productive and felt worse…

It might not be you. It might be a mismatch with the state you’re in.

The shift isn’t to just try harder, it’s to respond more accurately.

As spring begins to bloom, this is your gentle invitation to slow down and reconnect with your
surroundings.

On your next walk, try this simple grounding practice:
3 things you can see
2 things you can hear
1 thing you can feel

Allow yourself the space to simply notice what’s around you and be present in the moment.

Spring reminds us that change can be slow, steady, and meaningful. What signs of spring have
you noticed?

Some parts of us carry more than we realize. They can hold strong emotions, memories, and
experiences that once felt overwhelming and lonely.

In parts work (IFS), these parts are called Exiles. They are the more vulnerable parts of us that
often need the most care and compassion. Our managers and firefighters work hard to keep
these feelings out of awareness to protect us.

If you’re feeling curious and want to understand your inner world more deeply, we invite you to

Art therapy isn’t about being artistic. It’s about being human.

It’s a form of psychotherapy where creating art helps process emotions that are hard to put into
words. It’s different from just painting for fun because a trained art therapist guides you through the process, and the art becomes part of the healing.

Research shows art therapy reduces anxiety, supports trauma recovery, improves mood, and
helps regulate emotions.

You don’t need talent. You just need a place to begin.

Becoming an art therapist involves graduate training, clinical experience, professional credentialing, and state licensure.

Requirements can vary depending on state licensure laws and credentialing pathways, but art therapists complete extensive training in art therapy, developmental psychology, behavioral and mental health care, and neurobiology.

Our therapists at Blue Pines Counseling are both credentialed art therapists and licensed professional counselors. We are able to draw from an integrative skillset that goes beyond words for deep and lasting change ✨

Many of our experiences are not stored in the brain as words.

They are stored as images, sensations, and emotional states.

When we create art, we engage emotional, sensory, and motor systems all at the same time.
This allows the brain to process experiences in the way they were originally encoded, rather
than trying to force them into words and explanations.

Sometimes, the most important step isn’t explaining what happened.

It’s giving the experience a form outside of ourselves so the brain can begin to organize it and understand it, leading to integration and regulation.

What happens when you let an experience become an image instead of a sentence?
