As every day at the close of the day I Thank God. Yes I thank him all day every day. But today is another special day. Today I walked with General Shawn Harris knocking on doors here in Rome. It was an honor to walk with this man. A man of HONOR, RESPECT, WISDOM and yet so HUMBLE. He shared words of encouragement to all we talked to. He was grateful to all that allowed him to stand on there porch or come in their home. He took time to take pictures with them. But most of all he promised if they called him he would answer.
Yes it was a honor to be with him and a honor to ask each of you that have yet to VOTE, please vote for him. He is a candidate for the 14th district congress seat. He is running against Margie Green.
We need a person to represent us that understands our needs. A person that will help us. A person that will work to bring good jobs to our district. Someone who will help to increase the minimum wage, protect Social Security and Medicare benefits. We need SHAWN HARRIS.
For all of you that have already voted, I hope that you voted for SHAWN HARRIS. Thank you. If you have not please VOTE TUESDAY (today)

Today is the first day of November. It is 27 days to THANKSGIVING. For the past 37 years we have served THANKSGIVING meals at the Rome Civil Center. This year like in past years we are looking forward to doing the same. Every year the number of people in need grows. The cost to serve these people increases.
We need your help. Please give so we can meet the needs of our fellow citizens.

Facebook family. Sunday is SOULS TO THE POLLS!!! If for some reason you have not VOTE please come and join us SUNDAY as we celebrate SOULS TO THE POLLS. Sunday after worship we are asking all pastors and their members to me us at the park in East Rome on Maple St. Then March to the Poll at the Floyd County Health Department. There will be food and entertainment. Please come out and support this great event. We need all of you.
