To our valued friends/patients/customers,
First, I would like to thank you for your support. It was a privilege to start my career as a pharmacist in Cedarville when my license was first issued, and a greater privilege to return a few years later as one of the pharmacy owners. At this time, we must announce that we will move all of our prescription services to be based out of my home store, which is Germantown Pharmacy. This will allow us to continue providing the village of Cedarville with loving care by a friendly and professional staff via delivery. There’s an obvious geographical distance between Cedarville and our pharmacy; therefore we are planning for all Cedarville customers to utilize our free delivery service which we offer 5 days a week to ensure we can continue to serve this community.
In 2024, Ohio saw the largest number of pharmacy closures in decades, with nearly 200 pharmacies closing largely due to predatory practices by pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). This is currently being investigated by the FTC, and though we are hopeful that this will lead to fair practices in the future, in the interim we have developed an innovative solution by merging this location with a larger independent pharmacy. We believe this village deserves the personalized, friendly services that can only be found at independent pharmacy and you shouldn’t be treated like just another number like you would at a chain pharmacy. For this reason, we are providing expanded and flexible delivery services to the Cedarville community. We will be very active on social media so you can see our staff, what our home store looks like, and get to know the team that will continue to care for you. We will offer free medication reviews by phone and video reviews over FaceTime or Microsoft teams so you can still interact “face to face” with a pharmacist as much as you need.
An additional advantage of this restructuring is that our larger pharmacies have resources and staff to provide expanded services. We would encourage you to consider our free pill packing service, where we will organize your daily meds and deliver them in a neat and easy to use pack.
Our last day in Cedarville will be 3/28/25, but we will keep the same phone number 937-766-2273 and on 3/31/25 we will make our first deliveries to Cedarville from our Germantown location. We look forward to continuing to serve you. We ask that you stick with us as we make this transition; although change isn’t easy, we anticipate that you will enjoy the white glove service from our delivery team as we plan to provide top-notch care for many years to come.
