At A Country Girl’s Retreat, we welcome both women and men into a space of rest, connection, and presence. To support the integrity of this shared environment, we ask all guests to be mindful of their language, tone, and interactions with one another.

Our events and retreats have a cornerstone founded upon the mindfulness teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, particularly the training of Truthful and Loving Speech — speaking in ways that are honest, kind, and beneficial.

✨ In practice, this means:

Choosing words that are respectful and considerate

Avoiding harsh, aggressive, or excessive profanity

Speaking truthfully, without exaggeration or harm

Listening deeply and pausing before responding

Remembering that silence can be an act of compassion

This is not about restriction — it is about awareness. Words shape energy. When we speak with care, we help create a space where everyone feels safe, seen, and at ease.
